Watched the Bolt CEO do a podcast and create a website with chat. He struggled to get it to work and he's a developer. Clicked around at lightspeed on 20+ screens, was reading code to debug and understand what Bolt was writing or not doing. He unwittingly provided an example you need tech knowledge to actually make something other than very basic. It's a start, gets a cookie cutter basic result, good luck debugging and proper customisation.. Falls way short of a professional website.

Ironically the only people who should be using these tools are developers, because once it's built it's going to become a brick pretty quickly unless one knows how to maintain it. However, that said, this is really impressive. For a backend developer who dabbles in frontend, this is magic.

@@MrMikomi i agree and disagree. I don’t know how to code at all. You can do a huge amount yourself with AI. I agree that knowing how to code is an advantage but I’ve been building apps, tapping into APIs, connecting to database, authentication deploying. It’s crazy.

Great video! Next time, make sure to apply a low-cut filter to frequencies below 80Hz on your microphone to prevent unwanted sub-frequency noise. Every time you press a key on your keyboard, the microphone picks it up, and when someone watches your videos using good headphones or speakers with a subwoofer, it can create distracting sounds. ;)

Christian, this is great, but how do you integrate it? What happens after you deploy it? Maybe you can do another video on Netlify and Github? Design is great but I think a lot of people want to understand what happens after the design is completed.

Easiest is just deploy to netlify and add a custom domain otherwise,export code to github / download code and then import it to your hosting provider, this option can get a bit tricky though. once you need updates or fixes your on your own😂 if someone else knows another route id like to know too

For instance my app idea targets people that have a certain activity in common - similar to FB groups. How does one log in? Is that all to be built on "bolt" and then deployed? I deployed the app and now it's sitting on the Netlify server ... not sure what to do next. How does one make changes to the deployed app? It would be great to see a video of that process. TY

@@oscarsilva9189 after you have completed a project in bolt, you'll see a blue button labeled Deploy in the top right corner of the web page and you click it and it'll deploy the site on netlify and give you the link to the site or project and then you cannot create a free account in netlify and then add your own domain inside the dashboard and netlify will deploy it to your domain. If you search the youtube you'll find several videos on this topic. hope this helps.

This is not a no code solution. There is quite a bit of code behind the scenes, and it is one-off code with no one to support it. The only thing about this website related to $10,000 is this is the starting point you'd pay for a developer to fix security vulnerabilities and to maintain it.

Hey @wearenocode, how can you navigate through all the bugs that are on the bolt platform? I feel I take five steps backwards for every step forward I take. I'm constantly having to rollback to a previous checkpoint because when I ask for change it either modifies different sections, or it just shows me a blank page.

The main trick is to fix when Bolt is stuck you will need to know the codes to fix otherwise you are just stuck. He skipped so many scenes, especially fixing problems. No way this is 30-minute job. The website looks fantastic that's for sure.
