Thank you so much for this video. I'm taking electricity and magnetism in university and love how much information you went through in such a short video, great work and great explanations, better than my professors! I wish schools would give us an overview of the course before going into details because it seemed pointless to study point charges, electric fields, electric flux etc without knowing their impact, although, after watching this, it is clear! Thank you!

E = -dV/dr, dV = -E dr To prove this, derive V with respect to r: V = kQ/r = kQ * r^(-1) dV/dr = (-1) kQ * r^(-2) = -kQ/(r^2) -kQ/(r^2) is essentially just -E, given E = kQ/r^2 So from there, we have: dV/dr = -E dV = -E dr I hope that was helpful!
@AgentJRock8053 жыл бұрын
Are you taking an Algebra or Calculus version of Physics? dy/dx or similar dV/dr means they are taking derivatives and is calculus-based
@macovv73203 жыл бұрын
@@AgentJRock805 I have calculus based physics. I know it essentially means derivative. But I can't understand that relation intuitively. Like, Electric field is change in potential over distances?
