Tip: find a good, local tailor. I buy almost all of my clothes secondhand and I take many of them to my tailor. She asks what I paid for the item (she knows I'm an avid thrifter) and she generally gives me a discount on the alteration. It's not as expensive as people think and my clothes end up fitting like a glove. I always get compliments but part of the reason is the fit (people just don't realize it). Tailors can help modernize an older print and change an item so that it better fits your body type.

And for any clothing that aren't suitable for reselling, check in your area for textile recycling!! Great way to dump your heavily used clothing instead of onto some poor overwhelmed thrift store! 10/10 recommend.

my biggest problem is that with vintage and second hand which i love, and most of my closet is comprised of, is that when i see something it's usually very unique and i have the urge to buy it in an instant because i don't want to miss out on my opportunity to buy it. i'm always afraid of missing out on something that i might not see again because i didn't buy it.

same! this is me everytime on depop, i love going on there for clothes and such but whenever i see a unique piece i have this strong urge to buy it but ive gotten much better at controlling it and gave myself at least a week and see if i still want it before spending any money

I find that too much stuff can be so tiring. I love thrifting and vintage clothing, but with a small kid and a job and so many things to do around the house, I just can't be bothered to reorganize my clothes often. I decluttered a lot last year but now it's crowded again (because thrifting). I am also not the wardrobe capsule kind of girl so I prefer to donate or sell. This was refreshing, thank you!

LOVED this...so much so that I'm here to vouch for a second upload of like an uncut version?? Perhaps not worth the editing effort but I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to hear EVERYTHING you have to say about any + everything in your closet!! I don't know how feasible that would be but just know it would be wanted and valued by your many adoring fans !! And would relieve me of my need to pause and do random activities every few minutes of your videos so that the experience is extended. Just! Love! You!

Would love to see a bit of content from you that isn't centered around consumption. I know you do speak about being more mindful about what you bring into your closet, but constantly purchasing things is not sustainable. Us millenials are constantly shopping and throwing our money at "buying dresses for occasions that never come up". Why not promote saving money and wearing what we have? Setting goals for the future and having money in a savings account are also good subjects to speak about.

I’m not making space with the purpose of buying new/more - and being honest that over the years somehow I’ve collected dresses in hopes that others don’t make the same mistake or pointing out it’s easy to do in hopes others think about it too, not encouraging anyone to go buy more dresses.
