honestly will never get the "but people remember me wearing it" being a factor because that's just normal. i never think about that when i choose outfits and when i see people repeat pretty outfits i just think "oh they look super pretty again" nothing negative about it

Of course I remember the sweater! 🦋 Hope this will come out right, but I think having pieces that you cherish and make you feel amazing every time you wear them is more important than "everyone has already seen me wearing this" - coming from a person that thought that a lot during her twenties and now that I am 31 one I have less pieces overall, but more statement ones than ever - and I am so happy when other people recognise and remember what I am wearing :)

I saw someone on Tiktok who would have an annual closet clearout but when they put everything back, they put the hangers the wrong way on, hooking them from the back side of the rail. Then every time they wore something, they'd turn the hanger the right way around and it became visually clear what pieces weren't worn once in that year. Also, keeping sentimental pieces is great! And you can't be a sustainable queen without rewearing pieces - rewearing is HOT and the piece becomes a part of you

Taking things off hangers definitely makes a lot more work, but also makes it easier to part with something that isn't a good fit. If it's still on the hanger, it's easy to just say eh, might as well keep it, even if you don't like it or don't wear it. Just depends on the person and what works for them.

Sentimental pieces that I know I don't wear anymore, I put in a small storage container in the bottom of my closet. I can later repurpose them into a tote bag or something to give it life again, or just look in there every now and then and reminisce. 🤗
