I feel like if you want to wait to pack and not have the boxes all over the place for a long time but you don’t want to wait too long maybe pack 2 weeks before, or rent a storage unit for all the boxes. Pack everything besides necessities, seriously ! Start with storage and your closets, then winter stuff, then cabinets like your extra stuff in the bathroom and kitchen , appliances or things you don’t use very often. You can also keep a small amount of dishes and just wash them as you go towards the last week or 2 and just don’t tape the boxes closed in case you need something from the box or need to add something to the box. It sucks having boxes everywhere in the weeks leading to the move but it so worth it on moving day!

When we moved last year I started to pack 1 month from moving and I just dealt with the boxes being around and it made it so so much easier, even packed the extra dishes and only kept out exactly how many forks, plates, knives and ect then come the night before moving everything was in boxes and ready for the moving truck

Im moving middle of july from PA to florida and ive wtarted packing boxes. We have a 3 bedroom house & 2 car garage so ive been putting all the boxes in the garage/basement.
