Wearing Daniel's Colors - Making A Poncho From My Alpaca's First Shearing

This video is both a how-to weave on a triangular loom video and also a whole lot of fun video even if you have no interest in ever learning to weave. I made this shawl from the alpaca pictured here on the video cover. His name is Daniel. I was there when he took his first breath, I hand sheared him myself with my daughter's help, and then made this poncho entirely from scratch including spinning his fiber on my wheel. This was made from Daniel's first shearing. Included here are also some of our other much-loved animals that live here at Big Horn Mountain Alpacas. I hope you enjoy it!
