I rock a WR200M g-shock ($75 at the time); a friend bought me a Suunto Traverse alpha stealth (~$400 at the time) for my birthday but I only wore it for a few weeks before going back to the G shock. The Suunto had a nice big watch face, but the buttons would dig into my wrist when working out and the nylon strap would reek of sweat much worse than the rubber strap of the g shock. Also, call me old fashioned, but having to constantly recharge a smart watch is a big turn off for me; when we do field or major exercises in the military you're out in the woods for a week to a month; I'm saving my power bank's charge for my phone, I don't want to have to deal with charging my watch as well...
