For me this is a case of form over function, no hate, the designers fulfilled a terrible design brief...hear me out, Tinker as we know was inspired by the Pompidou centre in france, a building with all the plumbing air con wiring etc on the outside, this was brilliant architecture, the office space was maximised and any work done on the building could be done without disrupting the office space- Tinker put the window in simply to display the tech to us, VISIBILITY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PERFORMANCE, people in marketing set this brief for marketing and looks- cool for lifestyle, zero advantage performance wise, anyone watching your channel already knows this but we probably forget that the average consumer only cares about the look and comfort (and probably price and durability) We are the minority (being obsessed by shoes is weird to most people, anyone old enough to remember Imelda Marcos?), having said all that these are ugly imo they look like robotic cornish pasties, Peace from the uk

And honestly, living in 2019, that presentation is just awesome. All that holographic material and the shoes themselves really give it this futuristic feel to it. I could easily see this being opened by Marty McFly. I think Nike did these justice, giving consumers something that's different than the norm. And yeah, $180 is a lot, but Ultraboosts are $180 and I see people buying those left and right lol

I just scooped this pair last night. Love THEM!!! I normally wear a 13 but had to go with a 14. IMO they're not really true to size but they are extremely comfortable. Well worth the $180 price tag.

Just picked up a relatively clean pair of these at my local Plato’s closet for $59. Though I never buy shoes for retail, unless I’m extremely drawn to them, after cleaning these and wearing them for a little while, I definitely feel like these would be worthy of a full retail drop. Great vid man.

I like these and when saw the original pics I was not so sure. Now that I've seen them up close I'm sold. "Chris" is right about the box factor. I keep my boxes and it's a nice touch. The 270 is my most comfortable sneaker in my collection. Almost made my original pair beaters.

i loved these shoes. when there used to be a nike outlet store in my city, they had a ton of these for cheap. id buy one, wear the shit out of it for work, and when the bubble popped, id just go buy a new one. it also allowed me to try different cw's. siigh, now these and the outlet store are both gone....

Just an interesting tidbit about you mentioning Nike shifting to their airbags and shoe components being manufactured and not just asssembled in the US, which hasn't really been a thing for the past 30 years. The original Reebok Pump thermoplastic inflatable ankle and tongue airbags were made in Chicopee Massachusetts (next to Springfield MA - yes the Basketball Hall of Fame city) at Dielectrics. Dielectrics was an OEM for Reebok in the late 80s and early 90s. It's hard to find reference material that cite Dielectrics, Reebok, and The Pump, but there are some patent records about it out there.

The only problem for me about all of the air max series is that they are really uncomfortable for wide footers and the ankle support is really bad. The lacing system is not that good but the cushioning is great.

I have these and they are very comfy but my only complaint is that the air bubble is so big on the back people always accidentally step on your shoe and you get paranoid after awhile because you don’t want them to pop

The Air Max 270 are based at $160 when they came out, and these are $180. The 270 went on sale for like $120 and that's when I copped my Just Do It pair, so Imma wait until these go on sale
