Been using mine for the past 6 months. - the monitoring section is a blast - the EQs are too rigid - both the track and bus comp are way too limited - it’s all plastic but feels sturdy enough - routing is a bit daunting at times - the USB interface is a bit unstable at times - the inputs and preamps are clean af - the st cues and Bus B options are really making it versatile - the various insert points are what’s making it a good choice for any producer that wants to break away from classic audio interfaces formats - the individual channels all run through the summing section, which is a bit limiting - the SumIP option is great if you want to pair another mixing table, tho it’s limited All in all, it could be 500$ cheaper. It’s definitely aimed at home/projects studios. And the BigSix had a big design flaw in the beginning. It’s pricey, it’s running warm and it’s not a mojo unit. But it’s a solid option. It wants to be your centerpiece - but it’s designed to be. In this price range, at the moment, it is quite an unique piece of gear.

Thanks for sharing. yea Im still playing with it sounds pretty decent. It does seem to run warm though. I read somewhere somebody said there's burnt out. hope not

@@blacksmithbeatz it is designed to run warm. And although it gets warm, I’d say it’s the best proof of what’s inside : analogue pathways. I waited for 3 years before ordering this one. Wanted to make sure it was not going to let me down, that the power defects were addressed and that the USB drivers were to be updated. So far, so good. It sounds full - way better than any Soundcraft or Tascam Models I tried. And it is absolutely fit for any home studio. You can even get the plastic cheeks out to get more deskspace if needed. Some will say it is too limited. Some will say it lacks recalls and motorized faders. Some will say it’s not up par with SSL legacy. Some will even say it doesn’t sound as warm and full as they wanted it to be. But truth is, it’s all subjective. For what it does, it’s a bargain. Really. That’s the beauty of what’s proposed here : you can run it full analogue, hybrid or full digital, both for live and studio. It’s a no thrill mixer since you don’t get no onboard FXs or D-Subs or fully fledged bus comp - but then again, I never, once, used any mixer’s onboard FXs (they usually are cheap and muddy af). But it is flexible, punching way above the standard converters and still versatile when it comes to tracking (the EQs and comps are usable, if you operate them smoothly enough). The big difference between the large format ssl boards and the ssl big six is the sound. The big six is more transparent clean sounding and doesn't have the warm sound as with the bigger boards but its still a solid piece
