I'm so glad you saw this video then! :) I wouldn't worry at all, you may get some rain but it doesn't mean you'll get rain all day every day! You'll be surprised to see how fast the rain dries too!

@@MzPink1992 there’s a tropical storm just east of the lesser Antilles. For now, it doesn’t look like it’ll hit Jamaica, but it might be good idea to keep looking at the updates to make sure the trajectory doesn’t change. I like to check nhc.noaa.gov

Love this ! We are leaving for Cancun on Tuesday, Its gonna be raining and with my luck it will snow. Our last two trips , July in Boston...think 44 was the high YES and rained about everyday, and Vegas in Sept Oct, rained IN THE DESERT! every other day with cool temps. I guess it is what it is .. I will bring the rain gear and sweatshirts just in case.

Jessica! Remember the tropical depression a year ago this May? I was at Club Med in CanCun during that whole week! It rained, and rained, the wind blew, blew, and blew some more! Kinda crazy, but we made the best of it and had a grand time!!!!!

That’s so funny to me because I’m currently in Cancun and my trip ends right before yours. Currently it’s been on and off rainy but really windy. Like strong winds so the ocean waves are a little high but besides that it’s nice. As I type this there is also a loud thunderstorm although it is early in the morning so I expect it to pass in an hour or so.

@@edubb2491 I went on april the weather was sunny all week! it rained only 1 time for like 3 minutes and that’s it 😂 It was so hot to the point I am getting dizzy 😵 overall it was an amazing experience!

Sorry for asking, but maybe you have an answer. What’s cuba (varadero) like in July? We can’t really check the weather yet cause it’s still a little away. Online there is lots of warnings for rain but I’ve been to the Caribbean before mainly dominican republic (around june) and it sometimes showers but not all day every day.

It’ll definitely be hot and humid, but I don’t think it’ll be necessarily rainier… You may get thunderstorms or showers at the end of the afternoon, but those are normally pretty quick and the sun usually comes right back out afterwards. Hurricane season will have started already (it officially begins on June 1st) but the most active months are usually August/September/October. I’m sure you’ll have an amazing trip! :)

Totally normal to get thunderstorms, especially at the end of the afternoon... When they happen, they’re usually pretty quick, and the sun and heat come back out after 30 min! And that’s IF they even happen... because a chance of thunderstorms is exactly that: a chance. It doesn’t mean it’ll happen. I say don’t worry about the weather forecast (except for hurricane watches of course), and enjoy your vacation!

It's not so much that it's misleading... Because there's often a chance of showers in the afternoon, you'll see that icon appear quite a bit on the app. But those late-afternoon showers are not enough to ruin your day, for sure ! :) That being said, keep in mind that we are currently in hurricane season. It's always a good idea to check the National Hurricane Center to stay up-to-date on the latest hurricane info. www.nhc.noaa.gov/?atlc So far, the Atlantic basin is looking pretty quiet. :) Enjoy your trip !
