I'm surprised that you didn't mention anti-spell fragrance. The Painter place effect plays around it and combined with Rainy Canvas it prevents your opponent from playing the staring spells.

I found Athena to be a fun tech card in master duel. Considering how often you will be special summoning fairies you can get off a ton of damage each turn while also keeping a big enough body in the field as the painters are banished

Dimensional Fissure and Macro Cosmos r also good floodgates for this deck since all of their monsters already banish themselves on a regular basis. Macro kinda put some pressure on the canvases though, but on the bright side, Fissure and Macro completely destroy Drytron, Shaddoll, Dragon Maid, and Eldlich to some extent (remember, Eldlich cannot activate its effect to send itself to the GY while Fissure/Macro is on the field, same for Herald's effect, so the best out is Conquistador). Any deck that can potentially ruin a Drytron/Eldlich player day is always a plus in my book, potentially because you still need to draw into Fissure or Macro. Can't wait for the field to hit MD, my craft points r ready.

Finally, this is one of my favorite archetypes, I use them a lot on duel links, since they have an unique playstyle the opponent usually doesn't know how they work and since YGO players don't read I've activated Thundery canvas and WP cloud several times in the opponent's turn to great advantage

Snowy and Rainbowed Canvas have the funky pseudo once-per-turn on them because the way weather cards work means that you straight up can't HOPT the canvases. The effects are activated as a monster effect so limiting the canvas name does nothing, and limiting the monster name is no good because it won't prevent multiple snowy activations from different names. The limitation we have is what I call "resolve once per turn"- you can't activate it in multiple chains in a turn because of the limitation, but you can activate it multiple times in one chain, whether that's to get monsters off the board for a nibiru/enemy raigeki, or just because the first one got ashed, because the newest one will be allowed to resolve and will just lock out the others on the stack.

Obviously the way they've done this locks you out of cards besides the canvases themselves, but Weather Painters are very hard to play in combination with other strategies due to taking up large amounts of front and backrow space, so it really doesn't come up very often.

For the Missing Red Weather Painter, I'm sure Konami will reveal them and their Canvas soon time later since you made this video, but until then, here it is along with their Canvas. Painter- The Weather Painter Heatwave Attribute:FIRE Type: Fairy Level: 3 ATK: 1600 DEF: 900 Effect: If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "The Weather" card: You can return 1 "The Weather" Spell/Trap from your GY to your hand, then place 1 "The Weather" Spell/Trap from your hand or Deck face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone. You can only use this effect of "The Weather Painter Heatwave" once per turn. Once per turn, during the Standby Phase of the turn after after this card was banished from the field to activate a "The Weather" card's effect: You can Special Summon this banished card. Their Canvas card- The Weather Heatwavy Canvas Continuous Spell "The Weather" Effect Monsters in your Main Monster Zones of this card's column and its adjacent columns gain this effect. ● You can banish this card: (Quick Effect); Shuffle 1 card your opponent controls to the Deck (Except during the Damage Step). You can only control 1 "The Weather Heatwavy Canvas". Also, some good temporary floodgates and tech pics you can use are Macro Cosmos and Dimensional Fissure. sure they banish cards that would be sent to the graveyard, but can be used to slow your opponent from overextending and even hand traps like Ash Blossom and ones that would be sent to the Grave and Thunder and Sun can send them away to use their effects and then make your board. Another nice pieces of Tech Picks are Battle Fader to be used as attack negation and even tribute fodder for Aurora and Drowning Mirror Force as when a Direct attack is declared by your opponent, Drowning shuffles them back into the deck. Can be used in pair when banishing your Painters and with Cloudy Canvas. Doing that and activating Drowning Mirror Force on your Opponent is so satisfying. Saved my butt quite a good several times, even against Tri-Brigade Lyrulisc in Master Duel. Other good and nice pieces of Tech Picks are Battle Fader and Drowning Mirror Force. When your opponent direct attacks, summon Battle Fader to stop the attack and use fodder for Link Summon or Tribute Fodder for Aurora. Drowning Mirror Force can be used as a nice surprise card as when your opponent direct attacks with monster stat have Destruction prevention, Drowning Mirror Force bypasses that and will shuffle the attack position monsters back into the deck and extra deck. Which has saved my butt a good many times like when in Master Duel I was against Tri-Brigade Lyrilusc and Drowning saved me. It can also be used in tandem with Cloudy Canvas as if you have an Opponents monster and they attack directly because of it, flip Drowning Mirror Force on them. Can also be used in pair when banishing your Painters and with Cloudy Canvas. Doing that and activating Drowning Mirror Force on your Opponent is so satisfying. Torrential Tribute is also good as I can be chains when you summon a Painter and banish it to save it. Also when your opponent summons some monsters flip Torrential Tribute and chain your Painter's banish effects to dodge it and they will be safe and come back while your Opponents monsters won't. Anti Spell Fragrance is also good for to slow opponents spells so when they have to set them, you can use Rainy Canvas to bounce it to their hand on their and your turn and your Painter's can bypass it as they activate from Deck or Grave and hand by effect. This is one of my favorite archetypes in the game and when I saw they had their own Gate/Mode in Master Duel I was so happy I had a smile on my face the whole time and I can't wait till you get to make a Story/Lore video on them and a theory I have for the story of the Weather Painter's is the mother telling the story to her daughter might be Rainbow, Aurora or Moonbow and the daughter might be part Painter. I think the reason it has those 'Pseudo Once per Turn' effects is because the effect doesn't come from the trap itself, but rather, the monster who banishes itself, similarly to how ZS monsters give Utopia monsters additional effects. Therefore, any other way of attempting a Once Per Turn wouldn't work. You can't say 'You can only use this effect of "The Weather Rainbowed Canvas" once per turn' because the effect DOESN'T come from Rainbowed Canvas. It comes from whatever Weather Painter banishes itself.

Messenger of peace stall out was the only way I was finally able to beat this deck in the master duel solo mode. Thundery canvas is such a headache to deal with. You really have to be ready for a war of attrition with this deck.

I pair them with the Solfachord. It's an on theme grouping that helps add speed to the general deck, and adds some power too.

@@ADukesJustice Check out a few videos by a "DB Duels" they've got a good deck running both. Obviously build to your own tastes but yeah, turns out the arts blend well. Plus as a bonus, both archetypes come in the same pack. So you only need to craft a card from either to get access to both.

2 cards omni negate and can run skill drain and dimensionnal fissure, deck is packing heat tbh. Lazula is a lot better than bengal, you can search thunder canvas and instantly put it on the field with Lazula.

Why would you play Lost 1 turn? your monsters don't return from the banish zone, they're special summonned again, so their effects (and the effects given by the spells/traps) are always negated

@@xhantTheFirst its the same than Skill drain effect. They return to the monster zone since their effect activates when they are banished. They lose their oen effects but keep the traps effects. The banishing effect is s cost, and when you banish them they activate their effect fron the banish zone, again. The bad part is they enter in defense position, but it usually hurts more the enemy and his or her special summs

AAA WHY ARE THE CANVASES SO BAD Rainbow literally just turns this deck into a generic omni negate strategy as their only viable option. I love rainbow and all, but I would have PREFERRED the canvases to take a page out of the musketeer's book by actually interacting with the opponent that doesn't hard minus you IN A CONTROL BASED STRATEGY. Every single canvas is so trash except for snow's, which is not coincidentally the best weather painter. Actually this deck is just bad, aurora is a tribute summon, rain and sun are bad, thunder gets handtrapped making you -1, and cloud is alright but situational to enable. The only way to "save" this deck (which is to just turbo out rainbow for boring omni negate strategy) is to have a weather painter that banishes itself _in hand_ to skip the battle phase or something. And a link-1 for consistency. Because the only time Canvases are going to be relevant is when you've got Like 5 weather painters and canvases on the field, and at that point, just make rainbow. Or just come out with a whole new set of canvases that actually do something
