I get a kick out of reporters who exaggerate the conditions. Back in the early 1990's me & a girlfriend where outside, mid spring time, when an Alberta clipper system, a fast moving cool front blew through. It was warm & humid ahead of the cold front, the front pass through just before noon time. After that we had bright sunny skies mild temps with allot of wind. Sustain winds were around 25 to 40 mph and gusts were around 55 mph inland, 65 mph along the lake shore. Yes, at times we felt some resistance to walking around in the open field. But we didn't feel like the wind was going to pick us up and send us flying through the air. My girlfriend wore a non lined ankle length silk habotai (aka China silk) skirt that day too. And the whole time we were outside, her skirt NEVER once flew up much over her knees. Yes, it was severely windblown, ruffling or fluttering very, very fast and making allot of rustling noises doing so. Just like the gal in this video at the buss stop, her long skirt didn't fly up over her head either. Not like women nowadays "I wouldn't be caught wearing a silk skirt in winds of 15 mph!" I laugh every time I hear that as my girlfriend back then wore silk skirts in winds far stronger than 15 mph & never had any major issues.

If I was in that wind tunnel I would strongly grab a flag pole with a flag on it.

Oh yeah...along with some soaked beach sand hitting me @ the pool like maybe 20-/to 39 or maybe even more or so with a 1-/to 15ft drop or so. Well...maybe not that high, but still pretty high and some what dad from the pool, or so😦🤯

I sxpirencrd like maybe 40-/to 59-/to 60 @ the pool deck @ our beach complex that we stay @pinnacle port on Friday as they whipped they whipped around the building as it was coming from maybe towards the south-/to south east or so and they were blowing towards the either north, or north west or so...but yeah, they were either 49, 50, 60 @ the most, and 30 @ the least, or so

But yeah...it was kinda/maybe a little pretty somewhat hard to stand up to so...and @ 1/one point, I almost went in the pool after it had calmed doe. Some, but was still kinda getting forced around the corner of the pool cover or so with my swimsuit and rain jacket on while I was holding a petal 2 piece flag like or so with the Either, mint...or knitted poly (polyester) hurricane flag on there and that would’ve been bad, if I had fallen in the...or maybe rather...blown in the.pool with that thing in my hand, because besides being even more soaking wer or so...I could have a metal pole jam me in that back
