My dad had a GMC pickup that had the red interior and that color looks to be a dead ringer for a early 80s GM pickup.

Interior looks great! Only thing that would make me nuts is that the gear shifter is backwards 😆 . The curve should go towards the seat. But that's just me...most people probably wouldn't even notice. Still, great job and the red will look great with the silver truck.

Very cool! I just ordered the interior for the Mojave with the roll bar version. Other interior is on back order. Thought I’d give this one a shot it’s the one with all the interior metal scale parts. We will see, like yours better though! I am in south Texas San Antonio area. Some truck stops Cary the Mexican Ponchos that look real similar to your old car seat cover. Just a thought might be able to use those as scale seat covers.

That interior is 👌. You've saved that upholstery & been able to make it work. Too bad you say you were using the last of it. I found something on Amazon that has worked pretty well for me (PU Leather Fabric Shiny Leather Canvas Back 8" x 12"). It came in several sheets & various colors. I've used this for upholstery and floor mats on my king kong ca30, and cross RC MC6 and MC8. It has a pebble finish that lends itself to weathering. Obviously not as cool as the serape look, but I had to work with what I could find.

I think I have seen what you are talking about, never thought about weathering the fabric, gets me thinking. lol I did see at walmart they have some covers again like mine, just slightly different colors. Thinking I may get some for my jeep and one day recycling to RC builds.

@@RCeveryday yeah, I have to admit with everything we've had thrown at us over the last 2 years I've gotten a little bit lazy. So I do a lot of RC related shopping on line. It was just something to think about. I still like the interior it really matches the truck!!

Looks really nice. I'm guessing the dash gauges came with the kit can you tell me where I can get some small Guage instrument s e.g. speedometer oil pressure etc?
@RCeveryday4 ай бұрын
That’s a really good question. All the gauges come with these type kits that I have seen. Might be able to find a gauge sticker sheet on eBay.

Have you considered selling these finished for those who want scale interiors but have no skills?
@RCeveryday2 жыл бұрын
I have considered it, on the interiors and the hilux bodies. Just not sure I could get enough for them to justify the time.
