Just want to say that I have frequented Burbank House of Hobbies for the entire duration of my modeling career and have never had a bad experience. Absolutely phenomenal store with great people

Maschinen Krieger is so cool. Glad people still like this. I know this is strange but I actually like the box art of the models and just design because it makes it look like the models are actually made from their world not ours. love the suspension of disbelief I get when I go over them

Disgustingly beautiful man. Love your process, it's very similar to how I work. I have a plan and then play until I get the look I want. It's a very freeing and relaxing way to work.

Haha, yes this seems the more enjoyable way to work doesn’t it? Many thanks Matt!

I think you nailed it with the question "Is it right?" Doesn't have to be "right" just has to be what you are happy with. This was a good one, thank you Linc!

Hi Linc, did you varnish the model after painting, and before proceeding with the weathering sauce? I love using lacquers for basic painting but I am not sure if I can use oil weathering techniques on top of them without reactivating the lacquers with the oil medium - without a varnish first (varnish acrylic or lacquer would be best?, I wonder). The problem with varnishes that I have is that you loose the nice variation in shininess and specularity (ok same thing... 😊 ) you can achieve using matte, glossy and satin lacquers together.

Hi Manos, yes there is some clear lacquer varnish here over the decals but before the weathering sauce. The mineral spirits will attack the water slides. I chose semi-gloss so that it doesn't stain the surface too quickly. Hope that helps!!

Hi Am am new to the hobby and wanted to ask, before applying the black enamel paints did you varnish the whole model to protect the previously applied paint and decals? And I really like your work! :)
@PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright2 ай бұрын
Yes, I always varnish the waterslides.

@@PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright I recently copied the bace coat from this on a GW model, I think your can a racing white had more left than mine. I'm also stuck trying to decide if I want to paint it or not, the two tone white looks really nice. Ps I haven't actually had a chance to watch this yet
