The Dark Olive Suede, specifically on the Duke, was my gateway drug to Thursday Boots. My 2nd was the Dark Olive Suede Captains. Tons of compliments from strangers because it is so uniquely beautiful. If I have one complaint, it’s that I wish the opening of the boot was a little more snug at the top, but a minor observation from a guy who wears a lot of Chelsea boots.

@@Thursdayboots Ha. Well, thanks. Part of the reason I had trouble getting dialed in to fit was that I have "low volume feet" that are long and narrow. I measure 12.5 on the Brannock and wear 14 in Nike/Puma shoes. I started with 11.5, then 12, then 12.5, finally ending up at 13. In the Dukes, my foot feels very loose and flops around, so I thought I had to size down, but then my big toe rubbed. The fix is either thick socks or an insole. In fairness, I had this same issue with Red Wings, so it has to do with the room on the *top* of the foot bone more than the size of the boot opening. One trick I came up with to test boots for fit/length is getting an insole that fits you and simply putting it IN the boots you are trying out. You can put your hand in there and see how close the shape of the boot is to your ideal fit. There is no way any boot company can come up with something that works for everyone, but the Captains fit me perfectly and the same sized Dukes (at least in Dark Olive) are very close.

How good is the weatherproofing on the new legend falcon (storm king soles)? :)

Our Falcon Legend is not made with Weathersafe suede like the style in this video but the Legend is designed with a storm welt and which makes them water-resistant so you can wear them in light and moderate rain conditions. unlikely youll find waterproof chelseas, especially if there leather and built with welts. if you want waterproof youll want to look for rain boots

You may need a functional winter boot if you're dealing with heavy conditions but this style is great in moderate conditions. Our team in located in NYC and can wear them all season long! Best, Kendra from Thursday
