We've stayed at the La Quinta Inn right nextdoor and have enjoyed it. It includes breakfast too! Great location to Sight and Sound, and we like to go to the Good and Plenty restaurant about a mile in the other direction from the hotel. Thanks for the tour!

Hey John and Bobby I hope your day is a good one I wish I could find me a motel up here in Kentucky like y'all got there that's a very clean place and the price is also good we're up here in Kentucky paying $200 a night if that ain't price gouge and I don't know what is guys but I have helped out a lot of people up here I've got a lot of things accomplished so it was well worth it but I will also be glad to get back home till next video guys take care

Nice, clean accommodation with comfy bed......perfect. We hardly ever make it to breakfast, as we're not morning peeps. No pool......not a problem. Who goes to Amish country to swim? Lol.....too much to see!

I love hotels like this. It is a step back in time. Yes, luxury is nice. I love being able to park right at your front door and a husband/wife owner that does care. Who needs a pool or even breakfast. If you are on vacation you are not there but to sleep. I love hotels like this. It is very clean, and that is what is important. Thank you for sharing. I love the Amish country. They have such beautiful farms.

Picture this: Driving in from Wright-Patterson AFB in OH and my wife & I are ready to spend the night there. When we arrived the girl at the front desk basically said, “You can’t stay here because Hurricane Sandy is supposed to come right over us tonight. We think it would be best if you don’t spend the night. We won’t charge you.” WOW!!! How nice was that - - folks that worried more about our safety than making a buck. This really meant a lot to us. We only had one chance to spend the night in Ronks since then & Weathervane was booked, but we’d like to give it another try. We did make it back to CT before the storm hit.

Shady Maple is in a different town. I'm guessing around 15 miles maybe 25 minutes. It's in East Earl but its worth going to. This hotel is just a basic clean cheaper hotel. Great way to save money. Thanks for watching. 😎😎

@@darrylpeake2998 Sight and Sound. It is hard to get tickets.. You may need to call ahead.. Try to get seats in the middle. We don't like the top seats. It's a biblical theater very nice.😎😎

My mom has stayed there, and she has always said how clean it was. We have been to sight and sound for many shows, my favorite was JESUS. We haven't been to Lancaster since covid but hopefully in November we can go back.

Brings back memories as I have stayed there 3 times already. I went on a bus trip with my church. We were there to see Sight and Sound shows. It didn't matter that there was no pool or breakfast. We weren't there for that. I really enjoyed looking at the Amish farm that was out back of the motel. Great job showing this .

its never too late to learn how to swim, and you can start off in shallow water where you can stand up but just tread water, meaning, you just pick your feet up, still in the upright position and you move your arms and legs, and you just float like that. its good to know in case you need it in an emergency some day.

You would enjoy this area Rita. This hotel is just like we said a place cheap and clean. The owners were very nice and it's a great location. Lancaster can be very expensive to stay so this place fits a place for a budget. 😎😎

Don't know if you ever tried this place. It's called The Pantry, located north of the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater, 2715 Marietta Ave. It's a breakfast lunch type place, small, looks like a converted house, gravel parking lot. I think the breakfast is really good, and the amazing thing is that for us there was never a wait. If three people walk in, three people walk out.

Although I'm not able to travel anymore I enjoy traveling with you folks seeing that part of the country. Went back and rewatched the video at Katie's and I can see why the parking lot was packed. This is a great motel! You are right about the owners. Nick means it when he tells you he will help any way he can. As for breakfast, any day but Sunday or Monday eat at Katie's. They don't service your room everyday of your stay because of covid requirements and the carpets are shampooed every three months. We stay there every time we are in the area and have never been disappointed.

Love the hat, Bobbie!!! Yes we have stayed at the WEathervane a few times--lovely people who own it. Great price!! Right across the street from a Waffle House!! Chick Fil A nearby too. I believe ALL the shows at S&S have animals. Have seen 5 shows there already. Don't forget the PEpperidge Farm Thrift Store at the outlets.
