I can verify this. I bought a full weight duff anorak last summer and I used it this winter bow hunting. I sat in a 6 hour 34 degree drizzle and rain and never got wet or cold. Best hunting coat I own.

Thank You Sir! -- I would add wool base layers are extremely helpful in wet conditions. Cotton can draw water right through the wool ... or, at least, that is the way it feels! --- We appreciate you working with us, and of course your kind words! --- Ralph & Family

WeatherWool Very true Ralph. I wear First lite 100 % merino base layers and vest under my anorak. It’s the perfect combination for rain and wide ranges of temperature changes.

Someday, we would love to make base layers and socks. BUT we have so much to do already! And I'm a year behind even answering KZbin comments! ... THANK YOU! -- Ralph

what are some baselayers you guys would recommend? I only have synthetic ones.

We recommend Wool. What we like to wear is Woolpower or icebreaker. We plan to be making our own Woolen base layers, but until that time it will be Woolpower or IceBreaker. Keep Warm and thanks for watching. -Alex from WeatherWoo LLC www.WeatherWool.com

Absolutely agree with Alex D. ... He is one of the owners (family!) of WeatherWool. I would only add that we feel wearing base layers made of anything other than wool detracts from the performance of our outerwear.

I would recommend First Lite Merino wool. It is somewhat expensive but it is well worth it! I only wear First Lite and Weatherwool 100% wool hunting from October to February.

What size is that and how tall are you?

Six foot even, about 270 pounds, size 2X. Although sometimes 3X would be better, especially if I get up to 285 ... Thanks -- Ralph
