This is a cool demo, but I think it's far from fair. You guys use really nice wool, and charge a premium. Meanwhile, you picked some random cheap jeans to test against. You should test against denim in a similar price range with equal obsession with quality (e.g. Iron Heart) to truly show if weatherwool is stronger than high quality long staple cotton. I hope that makes sense! Without that, I don't really see any reason to go with weatherwool denim over Iron Heart for daily wear, and I already know that Iron Hearts are extremely wind resistant, soft, and amazingly constructed.

Jim is employing a perfect technique for ponds with soft bottoms where the Aeshnid family of dragonflies thrive. By the way, the best brookies for dining are the mid size fish that are not in spawning colors. You will see these fish have a more robust body shape. That means their flesh has more oil which makes them tastier than mature fish. Also, the anorak made me feel warm from just seeing it!

know what would be cool? having products in stock more than once a year. Quality is great, price is insane, wait is abysmal. Pretty much sums it up. Can't imagine how good this company would do if they actually had the capacity to produce products. EXPAND YOUR OPERATION.

@@WeatherWool The opinion can be frowned upon or brushed aside. But perhaps it should be taken into account that a reasonable availability is a legitimate issue? Example. i put a shemagh on order over a year ago. The order was for someone with some health issues. Well, they died about 6 months later (cancer). The funny (not really) part is the order request is still in and they have been dead since April. True story. The expansion into more products seems ridiculous when the ones you currently sell are 99% of the time out of stock. There is in fact a such thing as a reasonable time frame, this goes for 100% American made high quality products too. Maybe limiting how many different products you sell until your supply chain can handle more would be wise. It's your business Ralph. I'm just some dude. Take care.

A great looking and well deserved piece of outdoor wear!! I want one similar to this but w/a zipper since I'm not using it for outdoor survival type use, but more so around town and to the office during the Fall and Winter. I have tried pull-overs in the past and they just don't work well for me. I'm on the wait list for the hooded jacket, but I wonder when those will be made?

@@WeatherWool - You are so right. It is extremely helpful. It showed me the practicality of this garment that I wasn't quite aware of. It is one thing to read about these uses and another (eye opening moment) to actually see it in use and what it looks like - to see 'how' it really works by seeing it in use.

Placed an order around a year ago. Order still hasn't been filled. Person it was placed for died 6 months ago. True story. Which to a large degree is a great example of why Weatherwool needs to place more emphasis on keeping in stock what they already sell instead of inventing new products. Wait times are generally insane.
@WeatherWoolАй бұрын
I can't respond directly -- except to say SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS -- because this KZbin account seems to be anonymous. BUT ... so people understand ... ORDER? Maybe ... what's an order? Is it paid for? Almost certainly not, because we don't accept payments until the tailors are making or unless the customer really insists on paying ahead for some reason such as needing a receipt for an insurance claim. Do we have a credit card on file that we can charge as soon as we are ready to ship? Possible, we have lots of those, some very old. THAT'S an order. And then we have a great many people who tell us they want something, but when we actually have it, they disappear. As for keeping things IN STOCK ... we generally don't want to keep things IN STOCK because our production timeline is so long (it can take >2 years from shearing the sheep until shipping the shirt). We want to concentrate on making pieces that are already spoken for. --- THANKS --- Ralph

I ordered mine last year as a "ship asap" order. I was pleasantly surprised with it last week. All I can say is it was worth the wait. Ralph is nothing short of honest and upfront about the wait times (very nice, too!). If you ever have an issue (and I do mean ever), he is an email away. Just some almost useless knowledge from living in Canada but thinking in Fahrenheit: 1 Celsius is equal to 1.8 Fahrenheit, Celsius is a larger degree. The only upside is that Fahrenheit, is its more precise; Scale based on the temp at which fresh water freezes. The two scales meet at -40C (So -40C is equal to -40F). Easiest way to remember how to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius is to take the number of degrees over or under Freezing in Fahrenheit (32F) and divide by 1.8; So 50 Fahrenheit is 50F-32=18 & 18/1.8 = 10C. That and .50 cents (I mean $4.75!) will get you a cup of coffee...
