Hey Weaver, here is an interesting use of the EQ sketch function in Pro-Q 4, I use it to hand-draw compensation curves from technical manuals for various pieces of hardware. It makes it pretty easy, then I can fine tune them.

BBD = bucket brigade device, aka "analog delay". If you're a nerd you may be interested to know that it's "analog" in the sense of analog computing. Analog computing differs from digital in that it relies on continuous values instead of binary. The BBD chip is a series of voltage buffers, each of which is single continuous sample of the incoming audio.

HEX sounds way more useful than infiltrator. Infiltrator is almost always just pure chaos and destruction slash distortion, which HEX is not. I can definitely see a spot for HEX to exist alongside infiltrator, except for its outrageous price, which is too high for an intro offer already.

Regarding pro q , I would love to be able to gain access to the Big Gain knob ( and its features ) in the multi-window, so I don't have to close and re-open the instances of different instruments. Right now it's not possible to do it ALL from one instance, it does suck from this perspective. In the multi-window you can do only basic stuffs at the moment..

14:30 just learn a bit of piano , yes plugins like scaler are still good even when you understand piano theory it actually unlocks the true power of scaler. it'a a pretty advanced little plugin.. typing in your chords from the keyboard is funny to me. how does it know the note length? you still have to set that on the grid. i just use hotkeys to change my grid size and mostly using Step input from my midi keyboard.

I get all you had was the intro video for the Q4 before but the auto-cynical mode you have engaged made me scratch my head a bit. Having started in live sound the instance feature and the sketch seemed like a no brainer. You have a kick channel you twiddle the knobs before you hear it because you have a basic idea of what the curve is. Sure you could use a preset but the sketch seems quicker to me.

Hex is _nothing_ like Gross Beat. GB just plays quantized sections of its buffer at different speeds and/or times (aka stuttering tool). Hex is a multi-fx tool, yes, like Transit, with a big macro knob. Also, you gotta get edumacated on BBD delays if you're gonna have a voice in this game! Wikipedia it, it's interesting!
