First time I was there for a stream - that call was wild. BWB seems to have some sort of god complex now because he is a large youtuber. Also the fact he kept bringing up how he did X, Y and Z for Curtis King means he never really helped him because he wanted to - He just wanted something to throw back at him or to have Curtis "owe" him back. Anyone who acts like that means he was only being helpful for selfish reasons. Just wild behavior from someone who makes FL tutorials of all things.

These guys have to realize that after you post a single video regarding a daw topic that’s it. Making the same content over and over is really boring. Training videos are a hard sell on KZbin. It’s a niche that really is not profitable. Once the people who watch you rise beyond beginner there’s nothing left to watch. I have yet to see anyone do more advanced stuff outside of the same beginner stuff. Branching out into interviews with mix engineers, and getting deeper into more advanced production information is hard to find. I spend most of my time looking for mix engineer videos and advanced production people. I also find watching people just making music more of a learning experience. You really have to treat your channel like a broadcast station. If a show is not doing well it gets cancelled. You have to come up with fresh ideas. Again being stuck in a niche really is hard.

BWB is what happens when someone fully embraces the doctrine of capitalism, gross, inhumane, cut throat competition. He is not happy and never will be satisfied, and deep down he is clearly hostile to every producer who makes content in "his lane". The arts and music production is no place for capitalism (although of course capitalism dominates all arenas due to the nature of economy), and this is toxic as hell. I'm a socialist, and I think every artist should really look into these types of deeper questions so you never end up like BWB. Read the WSWS, you can just google it, they have tons of stuff to read about these deeper questions. Us artists need to unite, not "destroy" each other for godsake, and I think BWB is beyond the pale at this point. He does not even realize how out of touch he sounds....

BWB's greed has nothing to do with capitalism. His behavior is the result of a narcissist with a superiority complex, hiis addiction to competition and his constant need for "more". And although highly competitive people are often successful in a capitalist society, capitalism is not the reason he is the way he is. But as a socialist, any time a capitalist does anything crooked, you blame it on capitalism itself. Confirmation bias is a sonuvabitch. Capitalism is not a doctrine. It is a system that allows space for differing doctrines to exist. That is not the same thing as being a doctrine. Socialism however, is a doctrine, and considering that you are a self avowed socialist, it's easy to see how you mistook capitalism for being a doctrine also. Every time someone makes an argument for socialism , it's usually presented as an alternative to capitalism, and vice versa. Therefore people tend to mistakingly assume that since socialism is a doctrine, then capitalism must be one also. But this is incorrect. Capitalism is nothing more than a lack of government intervention, and the means of production are owned by private firms. Where you are free to be as productive and innovative as you wish or as lazy and unproductive as you wish. Arts and music is no place for capitalism? Dude are you kidding me? The arts and music production is ABSOLUTELY the place for capitalism. It's the sole reason why all the music equipment that you are using RIGHT NOW even exists!! Free market, supply and demand, competition between companies who are free to innovate and make ANY PRODUCT THEY WISH according to consumer needs are all the result of living in a capitalist society. BWB is a dick. He's a narcissist who wants to be successful more than he wants to maintain integrity. That has NOTHING to do with capitalism. That's like saying someone's an alcoholic because capitalism allows for liquor stores to be in business.

Capitalism did come into being with doctrines and the promises of "freedom, liberty, ect" (which are empty promises the ruling class has never been able to achieve for us) and it also does have the idea of "pull yourself up from the bootstraps" or in BWB case "won't be happy till I crush all competition". Because we are in a capitalist society, this mindset is not insane and to BWB to be the best means to sell the most and destroy competition. In a society dominated by cut throat private interests, people can embrace the system for how it is uncritically and become like BWB. The real thing artists should be trying to achieve are artistic and cultural achievements, but our society makes that a very hard thing to make your focus. I think you underestimate how much people really adapt to systems.

I don't even get how BWB is so big. Unless he just got in the KZbin game early. His beats are average at best. All I found helpful from him is some FL studio workflow tips and shortcuts.
