I don't know...yet. I do crochet though and I love how you have your colors!!!! I love crocheting color work projects. Before I knew it had a name, I was doing it! I love your teaching technique and how happy your voice sounds! I subscribed just now! Looking forward to watching more. Maybe I will get the hang of knitting one day.

Oh, dear. I am conflicted. A shlanket in mermaid tones looks like such fun to knit. I'm more than 1/2 way through a cardie that I'm making with wool that I'd forgotten I'd ordered, so it's time to consider my next project. On the minus side, I don't often wear shawls, I don't have a lot of need for them in my climate. The Qing Fibres kit is over $300 in AUD, which is a lot of money. (I do understand that there is a lot of labour that goes into dyeing wool, there's not a lot of scope for mechanising dyeing wonderful hanks like those used in the mesmerising mermaid shawl.)

The dip stitches are fun to knit! I struggle a bit using the needle for the dip stitch. I use a crochet hook to help me.

I got both patterns: am leaning towards the rectangular wrap, but not sure if I want to dipstitch the whole thing. So I am holding off buying yarn until I decide. Hope to catch the kits on the refresh.

Hey, I downloaded your free pattern Treasure Trove, thank you so much for sharing your work :) I have to wonder, does the TT secretly stand for Tension Test? I can see this going horribly wrong if your grip and tension is inconsistent!

Mr. West, I need a good, beginner-friendly, but not all bumpy stitches…can’t remember name, starts with a g. I have been so frustrated with my current project. Depressed! That shawl is gorgeous!!!!!!!

The Boneyard Shawl is a great beginner pattern - I have a tutorial for it on my channel. But I think the Painting Rainbows Shawl and Pogona would be fun beginner-friendly shawl patterns as well
