Webasto diesel heater smart controller install on Adria Twin

Perfect Stephen, the first mod I did on the RV we had before. I miss the diesel heater, so convenient, especially wintertime when lpg just disappears thru the heater. You will experience the Webasto as totally refined with this. It controls the heater so much better. If You've not done it yet, pleas upload it to our waterhole 😁👍. I'm still waiting for my battery, a disaster in time waiting. Advertised by my dealer as available within 7 days, That was 18 days ago and no commitment on delivery date. They say that it is a total boom on LiFEPO4's.

Thanks Mattias I have uploaded on the group site. First time using diesel heater and as you said was very happy to have this. No worries about running out of gas. Works very well in low temp and is quieter than our old truma. I had a lot of problems with the truma in my old van. It's a know problem for the internal fuse to blow. I did do a Vlog on how to change it

Hi Stephen great video. Always good to see the practical side of things before attempting it for yourself. I would just like to point out that you title it , fitting a smart controller but fitted a multi controller and there is a difference. The multi controller has the timer feature but the smart controller does not, which I’m sure your know but it may cause confusion if someone wants the timer function but orders a smart controller.

Thanks for comment. I believe the one I fitted was the smart controller with timer, the multi controller has a silver outer ring and has the 7-day timer. I have not used the timer myself.www.bowerspartsonline.co.uk/brands/webasto/webasto-controllers

Hi Stephen. . thanks for the video, I'm just about to install mine. . I am putting in a USB socket here as well but am having trouble identifying the feed. are the black and white cables the ones to use ?

I have the airtop 2000 stc and the controller that looks exactly like yours .At 6:38 you move the arrow to the fan speed on the heat setting mine won't do that. Any ideas?

No the controller I fitted did not have that option. I would have liked it as you can then control the heater easily anywhere in the van and I believe if you have WiFi on the van you can turn on your heater from anywhere outside the van. Nice if you are on a walk back to the van on a cold night

Ive just bought a T6.1 conversion with the same heating system but cant for the life of me turn it on. Tried all the buttons and nothing happens

Do you have a temperature sensor? My multi controller shows H94 error which indicate missing temperature sensor.

On the Adria Twin van the temperature sensor is located next to the old rheostat control where the control panel is. If you have the same van and have disconnected the old rheostat then check this temp sensor did not get disturbed

Could you not have connected it to where you disconnected the other panel?

I believe you can do this, been some time since I looked into this. If you go on the Adria twin Facebook page some people on there have done this. We liked it by the bed so we could turn on the heating when we get up in the morning

why don´t you install the control in the front panel where the old reostat is situated

You can do some people like it there. I prefer it in bedroom area. I can turn heater in in morning without getting out of bed 😀
