One of the most hypnotic songs that I have ever heard...I mean this in a good way The opening steel lick is haunting and beautiful!

From my understanding and love for steel, this is the first known song that had an actual pedal steel. Basically, still a lap steel but had 1 pedal that would bend two strings.

One of the finest songs in classic country music. Nothing like it today. One of Webb's best, and Bud Issac introducing the pedal steel changed country. It was written by Tommy Hill, Goldie Hill's brother.

Thanks, Va HOSS. I haven't heard this in many years, but have always loved it. Webb Pierce was truly "The Old Hit Maker." I loved him. Thank you, Hickory.
