How Slow Is Using Every Assist In F1 22..?

In this video I decided to see how much slower it is to use every assist in F1 22, including traction control, abs, racing line and more. I tested this out by comparing times in F1 22 time trials at Spain and then by going into F1 22 open lobbies. I ended up doing the Azerbaijan Grand Prix against some dirty drivers which was interesting.

Btw, in F1 2012 (the only game I play), I’d say using every assist makes you faster. The racing line does not lie unlike in newer games. The only assist to not use is braking assist.

You'd better be off with more arcade/casual racing games or something that have leagues or dedicated servers. F1 22 may not be a hardcore sim, but it requires real driving skills, so not everybody will drive well. If you can't make or find a local lobby that is actually reliable, then you probably won't have a good time. That, or try iRacing. The fact it's a paid service and toxic players are carefully moderated and get banned for cheating or unsportman-like driving forces the game to have a respectful, race-friendly environment. But of course, this means that you can't go around causing trouble yourself.

Most of them are just immature players or attention seekers trying to talk down to people so that they can feel better about themselves. They aren't really worth paying attention to. Imagine "pro gamers" complaining about other players using traction control in Assetto Corsa Competizione, disregarding the fact real GT cars use TC. There are many assists, and steering + braking assist for sure make you slower. But does the racing line display make you slower? Automatic gearbox probably a bit, but not much I guess. A little bit of traction control and abs helps more than that it is in the way I think. Why not test every assist to see how much time it costs?

I played f1 a lot also with the controller but I don't think that I would be able to be that gentle with the throttle and with the steering. Do you change gear manually?
