A cousin of mine had a 66 with a mostly stock 350. Different intake and head work. His own 800+- Holley build. With electrical upgrades. 350 turbo trans. Lift the wheels hitting 2nd gear. Cousin is a top notch tuner. My favorite car I've ever rode in.

Vin number 118 for a nova s/s 138 is a chevelle vin number.

Had a '66 355 4 speed Chevy II Nova in the 80's. Nice car, though I must admit the Plymouth Valiant -style taillight layout was a bit stodgy That is likely one pricey engine and tranny. Tom sounds like a good guy. Someone will get a killer street/strip machine - Sandy, the Old Hot Rodder

Doesn't sound like a roller motor... I believe it's a 350 hydraulic motor .. probably 9.1 compression...
