Cool modifications. I have two 22.5 Webers. The only modification I've done so far is to insert a couple self tapping metal screws into the top of the legs to keep them from popping out when moving the grill. I would love to see an improvement on the casters, which are fine for moving the grill very short distances on flat surfaces. Also, the grill will flip if you lift the handle to high. I just carry it now (not lit, of course)when I want to move it more than a couple feet.

Hey Tom. Awesome videos. Been a subscriber for just a short time now and you’ve inspired me tremendously. I recently purchased a Weber 22 , slow and sear and a drip pan. Wanted to do some smoking on it an I see you’ve installed the temp gauge on the vent side. I have 2 questions. What size stem would you recommend on the temp gauge and how accurate is it ?? Thanks for your videos !!!

Thanks for Watching Norm, I did not sand off anything but did clean it very well to remove anything that effect adhesion and before applying clean again with alcohol and allowed to dry and then applied and it has held up well, I’ve done this on several of my kettles and pellet grills with no problem

Excellent video. I like your future idea of longer legs on the Weber. You identified the problem correctly for guys who are taller like my self at 6'3" also with lower back injury. The shorter legs of the Weber cause me to bend over thus causing some really bad lower back pain that does not go away sometimes for several days. Longer legs would make using the Weber much more enjoyable.
