Thank you for the comment. Glad you found the video useful. This wasn't hard to assemble, just a few things to lookout for. Hope your beer didn't run out before you finished. :-)

I’m going to pick one up but need to know if it’s easy to take apart? Biggest thing is it easy to remove the wheels? That center hubcap is it easy to take off?

There's a small chain with what looks like a very wide paper clip (5" or so) attached. What is it for?
@EricLearnstoCook4 жыл бұрын
I think that's for the storage container (where you can store a bag of briquettes).

@EricLearnstoCook8 жыл бұрын
+Tressa Daigle Thanks Tressa! Amy is super sweet alright.....but.....she'd be more super sweeter if I got one of them Weber "Grills of a lifetime". hint...hint...hint.... :-) I do like the Performer. I even let Amy light it once this week. Yes, Amy lit charcoal. but she used the gas assist. That works very well. The weather is scheduled to be horrible this weekend, so you know that means I'll be out there grilling! I'll see if I can get it filmed. Thanks for watching and commenting. We appreciate it.

+Chef John Politte (It's Only Food) Thanks for watching Chef. I appreciate it. Let's just way it was a very long day that started late. We grilled some pineapple slices, some chicken with a rub and a dark rum glaze, and corn on cob. Ran out of light, so we brought a light out and kept filming. Finally got it all done. Amy will likely get some edited soon so we can get it up and share it out. Thanks for your interest, we certainly appreciate it. :-)

Just bought this grill and the holes on the side tubes do not line up with the holes in the side panels or the actual grill. I can believe a 500 grill was sent out to me with a Manufacturing defect.

i have the same issue, how did you fix?
@jwill98772 жыл бұрын
@@jotero93 I returned it and they sent out a replacement. That had the right sides but no mounting hardware. So I went to hardware store and just bought the right stuff. It's my favorite grill I own. I smoke and bbq on it. I have not used my smoker in almost a year. It was a headache to get the thing operational and they need to get their act together

we couldn't get our charcoal bin installed and I watched the video to see how you did that, saw it attached at end but never saw it being attached, do you have video of that? No real instructions with the grill.
@EricLearnstoCook7 жыл бұрын
The video would have been 2 hours long if I showed every detail of installing, including me scratching my head. I pointed out the more trickier things. I don't recall the bin being difficult or I would have specified how to install it. I'm not sure where the manual is. I can take a look at it and take some close up pics of where it connects to show where things are. If that's helpful, I can send those to your gmail account if you have one linked to your username. I hope that will work for you.

Thumbs up for the beer comment. At first I thought you were going to get in trouble with your wife for putting your grill together on the carpet. I still would catch it if I put together on top of the boxes. Thinking about getting this grill too. Already have a Weber Smokey Mountain 22 1/2. Weber just makes a good product and they have good customer service.
@EricLearnstoCook5 жыл бұрын
You are 100% right. I kept the 'food' parts like the grill off the carpet. No telling what is living in the carpet that you would then need to sanitize the grill. But then, what can tolerate 1000 degrees with a bag of glowing charcoal?

the 2 beer project is that on a scale of 1-10 or what? lol
@EricLearnstoCook6 жыл бұрын
No, that's my standard charge. If Amy wants me to do something, I should be able to charge her for a beer. Because of these instructions, I added an exta beer. Call it my labor charge, if you will. Not too difficult as I completed it without any bandages and profanities. Glad you enjoyed. LOL!

The charcoal containers are in there wrong which mean top grate is also. They run parallel to the burner…Good try though.
@EricLearnstoCook6 жыл бұрын
You're saying that between 12:30 and 13:00 where I have those charcoal containers showing, I put them in wrong? And because they must be parallell to the top grate, or else they won't work? Really? LOL! I'm glad my burgers and hot dogs don't care. Thanks for watching.

Sounds like a six pack project. Nice job. Smoke a brisket. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
@EricLearnstoCook8 жыл бұрын
+Kevin Bragdon Could have used a few more beers, that's for sure. Brisket? On a kettle grill? I'm not that good. I'd likely put that on my WSM or my Backwoods smoker. We did corn on the cob, pineapple and chicken (with a dark rum glaze) today. so I'm a little tired due to late start (and filming always takes at least 4x longer than just cooking something without a camera). Thanks for watching.

Unboxing is lacking. Why do I care? Because I am moving and I am trying to figure out how to pack everything inside the box. THIS DID NOT HELP. If your title has "unboxing" in it then show the whole unboxing.
@EricLearnstoCook5 жыл бұрын
There was 4 minutes of unboxing between 2 minute and 6 minute mark, so your claim was not 100% accurate. Obviously all the small stuff fits in the small box and the larger items were protected elsewise. With such a large item, a detailed unboxing on the large parts was not necessary. Most people appreciated the assembly. You will do your teardown in opposite order (just read the manual, if you still have it). You saw how everything was laid out. Just do it in reverse. Unless space is really a premium, I'd suggest you keep it intact and fill the voids with bedding material or coats (you got to put them somewhere anyways). Just put them in plastic bags and then put this thing in a large box, or create a box for it. Not worth the effort to dismantle and then reassemble. Good luck with the move.
