Looks like the Coleman, but sturdier. If one were to transport a grill on a regular basis, this would be a significant upgrade. I'd like to see griddle plates.

Nice comparison Tom. I had a Q1000 that I used for the occasional tailgate but it spent most of it's life next outside to my ceramic lump coal grill. After about 7 years of heavy use I had to put it to rest and purchased a Weber NG 3-burner for the patio and Roadtrip because of the integrated stand for the road - I found the burners on it cooked way too hot. Your videos convinced me I needed this Traveler and it's due to land in two days - can't wait. But like you said this Traveler, like the Roadtrip, will mostly be used on the road and stored in the shed whereas my old Q sat outside ready to go in a moments notice.

If u are buying in the uk the Q2000 comes with attachment for a full size gas tank, where as the traveller comes with small camp style bottles (£50 extra for the adaptor). Both have similar grill size, burner size. I found the travellers small uk gas bottles freeze after around 30 mins and the bbq loses heat. Not sure how the camp bottles are in the states though

Costco has them for $199 and I like the established accessories and I like being able to put Weber Q on a table if I like. It just seems to be a bit more versatile in its use (higher domed lid, removable from cart etc). Thanks for all of your great vids!

It should have been a q2200, not a baby q for comparisons. But for me, the traveler does nothing for me. It truly takes up more space and one still needs to lift the whole thing into a vehicle. The q2200 you can lift it by itself and takes up less room. Granted it may fit some folks.
