SO helpful! Thank you for being clear, going at a good pace (what IS the point of all these videos where they speed through as if you already know how to do it all? We wouldn't be here if we did!), and repeating the steps often enough that they sink in. This is my fifth Ken Burns technique video in a row, and the only one that taught me what I needed to know without a ton of aggravation.

really super tuto covering all topics. I didn't find any info which image size to use in lightroom classic for exporting images to make ken burnt possible in 1920x1080; the scale to fit the image at first keyframe, especially for vertical image, is very helpful. I am going to look other tutos because I am newbie in premiere pro and Z6ii video.

when you add transitions between the clips...will it always do that? with the keyframes being in the middle of the transition where you see that slight pause?
@nadinevanhees902 жыл бұрын
This was more helpful than anything I've found. thank you so much for your slow, considerate explanations. One thing, how do I slow the movement down?
@WebGuru2 жыл бұрын
@Nadine Thanks for the comment! You can slow it down in 2 ways: 1) Move the keyframes farther apart or 2) Change the values in the keyframes. For example if the values in the keyframes go from 100 to 150, change them to 100 to 120. This will create a more gradual (slower) change.

I know...I'm being picky here BUT - Wouldn't it be nice to have a precursor to this video when you talks about images prep and final output settings? I want to output to 4K with a 16:9 format. My 'Ken Burns' effect will not be 'zooming' more than 15%. This would mean my dimensions of my slides to be 3840x(1+15%)= 4,416 on the long side. Slides should be 4,416px X 2,484px. I have found that a JPEG compression rate of 30-40 to shows little signs of breakup when used for online purposes. Am I even close here?

Thank you for this. I have several questions. I am trying to zoom in near the center of a still image with a slight pan to get a feature of interest (say for 5 seconds), then zoom back to out to the beginning frame (in 5 seconds). Would this be to use the same image twice, or the one image for 10 seconds with a split in the middle? If two images, I am afraid of not matching things up correctly.
@WebGuru3 жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful! You can add multiple keyframes to the same clip to do this. Whenever you want to change the Scale or Position just add a keyframe. Though it can be tricky to get perfect, smooth motion.
@GPBAMB3 жыл бұрын
@@WebGuru After I watched your 3rd image doing both Pan and Zoom I figured it out. The only issue I have now, and spent several hours on the chat with Adobe is my image is true 8k x 8k and Adobe handles the upload well and the preview of all my Pan and Zooms. However, in trying to make a 1080p video out, the large file chokes the output conversion and I just get choppiness in the video. So now going to look at different 8k video editors that can possibly get the job done. Not sure if you know any? I see that Pinnacle 25 offers 8k input; so I might try that.
