Hi Aroundbi......great post. One question at 6:12, it's mentioned county is not splitting properly. Is it because employee merged dimension has been added but we have merged queries q_sal and q_county at state dimension?

at 3:22 how is it that stipend is being populated for A, B and C(even using merged dim) when these employees do not have stipends at data source level itself?

To explain ForceMerge(), i have added stipend values for A,B and C. I have missed to mention that change, Good catch!!! Thanks

So ... it's a UNION. So many vocabulary words for the same thing. Merged Dimension? No it's a union query. Key figure, no it's a number. SAP dimension, no it's a folder with fields in it, etc.

It really is unnecessarily complicated. And it does not operate joins, that are much more useful.
