For those of you looking for a summary here are the 13 points: 1. Find primary resource if possible 2. Look at maps...geography changes 3. Understand customs 4. See how others handled the subject matter, be aware of prejudices 5. Find artifacts, handle them if possible 6. Go to the sites, walk in their footsteps 7. When you walk the fields, respect what was done there 8. Avoid solipsistic points of view 9. Invent around what IS known 10. Look for treasures, celebrate serendipity 11. All characters need motivation 12. Every character has an arc 13. Villains abound
