Hello, I am an Indian lawyer with 10 years of experience out of which, 2 years was under 2 different organisations. However, I am unable to get them as referees as of now (one employer is retired and the other is not in direct contact with me). Do you offer your services to someone like me? Edit: Adding that I can get a certificate of good standing from my bar and I have cleared the bar exam.

The SRA have told me that you have to have the Letter of Reference. However, you may get that from your retired supervisor. Email me: ingemar@hunningsconsultancy.co.uk

Hello, I'm a qualified lawyer from Argentina with 5 years experience post graduate as a legal counsel. However, because the qualification is not strictly mandatory I don't have 2 years post-qualification for the exemption of SQE 2. Do you know if would it still be applicable the possibility to apply for the exemption? Thank you

How many years legal work experience do you have after qualifying as an Abogado in Argentina?

Question, can I get an exemption with a passed LL.B. from the University of London?
@hunningsconsultancy9999 ай бұрын
You have to be qualified as a lawyer somewhere to ba able to apply for exemption from the SQE2 exam. More info here on making the application: www.hunningsconsultancy.co.uk/sqe2-exemption-for-foreign-lawyers-review-advice/ To get exemption from the SQE1 exam you either have to have takend & passed the LPC, which then you trade in for an an exemption from the SQE1 exam (if you've not sat the LPC, I can't see the point of doing this; you might as well sit the SQE1) or make an application, like the old 'Equvalent Means', which involves the creation of a large dossier to prove that you have extensive & deep knowledge & experience in many different practice areas so the SRA should exempt you (it seems to me that few people are like to be able to provide that proof and it's almost as much work as studting & sitting the SQE1 exam.)

Hello. I am an advocate of subordinate courts in Pakistan with limited rights of audience right now. However, I am eligible to be a high court lawyer, which means I have the right to audience in all courts except the Supreme Court. My post-qualification work in Pakistan was just over a year. Is it advisable for me to apply for SQE2 exemption?
@hunningsconsultancy9999 ай бұрын
It is open to you to make an individual application for exemption from the SQe2. You will need at least 18 months' legal work experience post-qualification as a Pakistani advocate, according to the SRA website. Do you want to email me:ingemar@hunningsconsultancy.co.uk to carry on the consultation?

This is what the SRA write about Indian Qualified Lawyers & an application for exemption from the SQE2 exam: India Advocate You can apply for an individual SQE2 exemption. To do this, you will need to provide: - evidence that you have passed the All India Bar exam and evidence of your professional qualification with your local Bar, eg an admissions certificate or a certificate of good standing - or, if you qualified before 2010, evidence of your professional qualification, eg an admissions certificate or a certificate of good standing - a reference showing you have at least two years' legal work experience post-qualification as an Indian advocate - proof of your referee(s) professional qualification, eg an admissions certificate or a certificate of good standing.
