In this month’s webinar, we’ll be overviewing the topic of Group Management. By the end of our time, you will have the tools you need to address many different scenarios using groups to aid you in your workflow. We’ll talk about how to create groups, either manually, or by using the Group Request Form to collect that information; we’ll address what features a Group Contact has access to; we’ll look at how to use a group for bulk registrations or reservations depending on how much individual data you need to engage; and at then end we’ll go over what reporting options are available for Groups specifically. Now in CERVIS, how you engage with groups really depends on a decision tree of three different questions. First: Do you care to manage the groups as an administrator or do you want a group leader to manage their own group. Next: Do you care to know all of the individuals within a group, or does simply knowing a number of volunteers attending suffice? And lastly: Is the group working within the bounds of an existing opportunity in your system, or do they need a private event. The answers to these three questions don’t always have to be the same, but they will dictate how you engage that group in CERVIS, and what features you use to get there.
