The VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) is one of the most popular and broadly used trend indicators for stock trading and one of the simplest and most effective momentum oscillators available.
VWAP cross long setup works well in the morning when there is above average trading volume. Also in the afternoon as well around powerhour. This indicator long set up is a great trading strategy that is simple to understand for beginner day traders.
Market makers and algos have adapted to using VWAP to trap retail traders and to take out their stops, so if buying stocks or selling based on VWAP indicator, make sure to give your position a lot of room to breath so you do not get stopped out.

Hey Andrew, thanks for everything. This was my second week trading on the simulator, although in the first week I only traded two days. I mainly just watched your chatroom and tried to understand. My trading the first two days I mainly focused on finding resistance and support lines and trying to trade reversals around that. The second week was the same except I'm now much better at identifying those support/resistance lines or as I sometimes think of them support/resistance areas. Then making a trade plan accordingly. I made good fake money, but more importantly I think I traded fairly well all things considered. Thanks for all the learning resources you've provided. Now I'd like to add an understanding of the VWAP into the mix, but I'm not really sure what you mean by strong stocks and weak stocks. Would it be feasible to explain what those are in a comment? Or is there perhaps a video on it? I'm sorry if you explained it during the video and I just happened to miss it.

Hi Jonnathan Castillo... a weak stock is one that is selling off, you can identify it by its lower highs & lowers lows, and usually stays below VWAP. A strong stock is constantly making higher highs and stays above VWAP

Hello, thank you for purchasing the book and I'm glad to hear that you found the VWAP strategies section interesting. The false breakout strategy can be only applied to short trades. The concept behind the strategy is to look for price movements that appear to break out of VWAP but then fail to sustain that movement. As with any trading strategy, it's important to practice proper risk management and use stop-loss orders to protect your trades in case the market moves against you. I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any further questions.
