This is a wonderfully easy tutorial for seed saving. I've been purchasing from seed savers for a handful of years and not only do I enjoy the variety that we've grown in our backyard, but I also have used your catalog for watercolor and (colored) pencil references to adorn my walls ( and find a quiet moment of relaxation to pour over the beauty of the flowers and plants there in). Thank you for all the work you all do, and for this tutorial ❤️❤️❤️

great video wondering if one could uses a dehydrator machine instead or will it dry it to much or heat it to much? Also curious if most grocery store or crops you buy at a grocery store are hybraids and how one can still get the seed to germinate?

since most people buy grocery at the supermarket .... farmers focus on varieties that are easy to transport and with long shelf life. Those have no taste. variety happens when people grow their own food

I was hoping to save the seeds from my peas this year. Unfortunately we also had 3 weeks of rain and it’s always humid. Will theses still be good to plant next season?
@daniellerobertson79892 жыл бұрын
A few ideas for Peas...keep only the better looking seeds, thoroughly dry, pop in the freezer for 48 hours to kill off any grubs that maybe an egg just under the seed coat, if you have Diatomatious Earth powder mix this with the seeds as a secondary precaution which also helps draw the moisture out of seeds and kills small bugs. Some years the harvest maybe smaller due to weather but it's better than not trying to preserve a variety 😆 Good Luck Jen 😉
