important to note here - being a normal buyer, the suits you can purchase at Dainese have nothing to do with the ones used in MotoGP. They are made out of 2-3mm Kangaroo leather, where as the ones for "normal" riders are from 1.3mm cow hide leather, and if you have the cash to buy a Dainese Kangaroo leather off the shelf (over 2000USD), you still only get around 0.8mm-1.2mm Kangaroo...

not really... i've seen tons of suits from dainese and alpinestars ripped into pieces from minor crashes... don't see that in MotoGP

You could always go get custom fitted and made to your liking. Otherwise the top teir level premade suits are still very good for basic track and streets. Daineses new suits come with double layer leathers now as well.

The safest suits currently available are from Schwabenleder, but they don't look as good and are custom made expensive. The second is Held with SAS tec protectors inside and even tailbone and rib protectors. Then come the rest Astars, Dainese, etc...all of which are basically at a similar level. You can read some of the tests they did at motorradonline. They tested for impact absorption, leather toughness while sliding on pavement, protector placement, fit, etc etc

The Held Race Evo is very comfortable. It has soft SASTEC protectors inside that get even softer by the bodyheat. You don't get more comfortable than that it feels like a second skin. It also has a kangaroo leather mix so it's light and thin as well.
