Webisode 58: Scooters in a BMX video!?

SCOOTERS DON'T BELONG IN OUR VIDEOS! I probably would have told you that 2 years ago, but my view on the sport has been changing drastically over time. These awesome kids really just reminded me that it shouldn't matter what we do at the park as long as we're having fun and respecting each other. Nicole and I have a blast hanging out and riding at two Florida skateparks! (Description Continued)

Nicole and I hit up Port Orange skatepark and then grab some lunch before heading to Jericho Skatepark of Daytona. Jericho is known for having a lot of scooters because it's like the one place that no one really picks on them. The cool thing is the staff at Jericho and the people that go there really take the time to help the younger kids with park etiquette - so they honestly get in the way less than your new bmx rider. I think if we treat the kids on scooters with a bit more respect they'll be more likely to view BMX in a positive light and actually consider switching over at some point. I'm not saying either sport is better than the other, but I really do think if we all get along it will make everyone's lives easier.

+Harvey Stiff Arm 1, you did not do a 2JZ engine swap in an s13 chassis in a single day. 2, he has a turbo SR20 why would he need any more power in this car for what he uses it for? The SR is a great motor and makes really good power with a solid turbo and proper tuning......

+Kyle Clayton technical no I had to wait before everything arrived then took the turbos out and put the new one on and replaced the cams, pulleys and all that good stuff. it took me a day to put the 2jz and get it tuned. And there's nothing wrong with an Sr but I can easily reach over 200 mph on the track

As someone who has designed a skatebowl for bmx (Kortrijk, belgium) and had it build build by team pain, i can tell you they are cool with bmx. It's just the whole legal thing in the USA that puts BMX under bikes instead as under the extreme sports that keeps bikes out of skate parks.Just take a example from the European law for skateparks (EN 14974) that in point 1 said that skateparks are for all roller sports as well as BMX cycles. anyway, there is a reason people like Matt Hoffman have their ramps build by Tim Payne.
