I remember my maternal grandfather had an original Webley from WW1 ,it was given to him by his father (who carried it during WW1) just before he left for WW2 he carried it all through the war as his "back up weapon" He only had use it a couple of times and brought it home with him. I can still remember how upset he was when he had to hand it in to the local police station during the Firearms amnesty, after the handgun ban, not because he was a gun nut, but because of the memories it had for him. He was a wonderful man, a fantastic storey teller and a great grandad he was one of the main reasons I joined the military still miss the old git RIP pops

Correction. The Webley revolvers ejection system was deigned only to raise the empty cases clear enough from the cylinder to allow them to drop freely from the gun when turned over to allow gravity to do the rest.

Everything about this replica is brilliant, except for that eyesore of a safety switch.

Another error on the box, this was not the gun used in Zardoz. It is on the list, that gun was the Webley Fosbery.

This is a really fine review. It pushed me over the edge and I bought one. Been playing with it for days. I like it a lot. I owned the real thing in .38 S&W Cal. a while back. Thanks for such a fine presentation.

Looks sweet such a shame Here in Denmark so many variations of BB airsoft guns are not " allowed " because of the 4,5" BB for got to add CO2 versions of 4,5" illegal here....even if you only want it on Display

At first glance thought it was an airsoft thought to myself why not use pellets then realized it was a .177cal so I thought to myself why not shoot pellets and said I'll find out when I get one.thanks for the video

BE CAREFUL! I got arrested by the rozzers last week for doing exactly the same thing! some nosy Parker of whom I was unaware of saw me with one of these Webely mkIV co2's, thought it was real and thought I was threatening them with it. Next thing I knew half a dozen police cars came on the the street and armed police jumped out and I was arrested. O.K I was released 10 hours later when it was realised I had not threatened anyone with it.

Here is the same. That is why I never carry a replica out of home. (. Here there are plenty nosy stupid ignorants...)

gunz-n-gadgets no problem, I don't know what the laws are in your country, in the uk you can't post airguns in the mail, but maybe in Australia its different, so maybe just google battle finish webley

Now I am confused. I just bought one of these from a local curio shop. It's like brand new but unboxed. Now on the side it says BB, it doesn't show the pellet symbol, but this one has a rifled barrel, whereas the one in the vid is smoothbore. I appreciate this vid is quite old now, but would anyone know if later pistols were 'dual fuel'. The only difference as I can see between them is the cartridges. BB's load as per the vid, from the top, pellets load from the bottom. My question on this anomaly, is why put a rifled barrel on a gun which fires BB'S. I'm thinking of buying some pellet cartridges and try them out, unless someone knows differently.
@colinbreeze28143 жыл бұрын
You should definitely only use pellets if it’s rifled. BB’s will damage the barrel. You need either the Webley pellet cartridges or you can use Schofield pellet cartridges. No others will fit.

Man that's expensive in the UK, I ordered one yesterday for 177USD. that's about half the price.

How loud is this pistol? Would it disturb the neighbours?
@Misiulo9 жыл бұрын
It would be nice to have a version with a rifled barrel to have a better pellet choice. It would be nicer to have a 5,5 version to pack more punch. It would be the nicest to have a self-contained cartridge version :>

There is pellet version, and yeah those self contained ones are nice.

Is this the same model as this? www.sofmilitary.co.uk/webley-mkvi-airsoft-6mm-bb-co2-service-revolver-product,17953 I'm looking for one to eventually get as a Airsoft Sidearm, I'm hoping this one is a different model that fires 0.20g Plastic BB's
@Kav.8 жыл бұрын
+B.S Productions it is, the version you linked fires the plastic BB's for airsoft but it shoots over site legal (380-400fps) as far as im aware you can take out the dan Wesson power restrictors from their power down shells and put them in the wingun shells (which I think are only different in width as one is a 455 and one is a 357) ive never tried it but ive seen it posted in various places

I have fired the real thing in Greece, one of many illegally held leftover British, Italian and German weapons from World War II, and possibly one of those smuggled into occupied Greece right under the nose of the Kriegsmarine by my late father. The .455 calibre munition isn’t available any more and the owner had resorted to clipping the rim of .45 rounds in 4 places around the cartridge’s rim. Not recommended. A beautifully over engineered weapon which when empty would serve as a deadly club. Certainly more solid than the Italian Beretta’s I handled with their fragile magazines. However the reviewer is wrong in stating the extractor ejects the very hot fired rounds. It is an extractor and not an ejector. A .22 pellet version in black would certainly put a smile on my face and bring back memories of me and a friend trying teach locals in Attica and Crete trigger and general weapons safety, despite so many having done their compulsory military service as evidenced by the deaths of innocents hit by users firing off their treasured and illegal weapons indiscriminately.

I don't know why anyone would waste money on this pile of shit ... when you can buy a decent air pistol for the same money.
