I have a Webley Senior model, predecessor to the Premier, as described here. My father gave it to me on my 13th birthday. It's gorgeously blued steel, the finish is still around 99 percent intact after all these years. A school friend had a Premier. My preference is still the Senior, which I still have, I'm now 66.

Excellent work! The paint and decal really top it off well. Lacking abuse, this pistol should serve for decades with nothing more than a little oil on occasion. This looks like a Tempest minus the plastic sleeve that slides over the forend. Edit-This gun requires careful trigger control to get the best groups as I am certain you know-it will not permit any rushed trigger pulls. Looks like it's a potent pistol-my Tempest averages between 425-430 with wadcutter pellets which it prefers for top accuracy. Very well done.

In the 60s I had a Senior. Swapped it for a nice Dian aand I really liked it. Not that powerful but that didnt matter, just avery nice pistol and fun to shoot. I read they were used as trainer pistops prior to firearms training as they recoiled very similarly. NIce video . Thank you Keith

it's a nice indoor low power target pistol. . . there are German versions of this also. . . but the crosman 1377 .177mm/pellet gun with the magnet bolt for steel BBs. Has a power output that is illegal in Great Britain . . and more power means better range. A scope on a 1377 can be used on targets 150 feet away.

I have Two Webley Premieres with the Original Bakelite Grips in .22 and Love them more than any of the Modern Varieties Simply for Style and Feel plus they still Shoot Ok Trouble is the Cast Metal 'Stirrup' doesn't last too long and can easily break if not Careful with!

Thank You for your videos 🙂👍 I noticed that your new piston seal had a cut in it is that normal for that particular air gun and how does it create compression with a cut in it ? have a great day 🙂
@thelvadam8916Ай бұрын
That is normal-The seal is a hard, teflon material and the gap from the split closes when the piston is inserted into the compression cylinder.

hi, How is the steel cylinder attached to the alloy frame? glued in place?
@canuckair8 күн бұрын
I've wondered that myself. I can only assume the alloy is cast around the steel tube. There's really no seam to be observed.

Just wanted to say that paint job looks similar to the original paint on my webley tempest, not sure if mine is epoxy paint or powdercoat.
@TheEdguitars25 күн бұрын
Hi, is the seal made out of teflon?
@canuckair24 күн бұрын
Yes, I do believe that's what's used, or something very similar.
@TheEdguitars19 күн бұрын
@canuckair I was looking into some webley documentation and confirmed that the seal is teflon, I'm making some seals in the lathe this weekend 🙂

Not aluminium, its an alloy. It is very 1970s, the die cast frame and the baked on finish. Their looks were against them, and they just seemed 'cheap'. They are however good shooters, and light weight. Above all, they led Webley towards making the Tempest.
@canuckairАй бұрын
Yes, but it's an aluminum alloy (aluminium). Not to be confused with the zinc alloy castings used on numerous other air pistols - which work, but not as strong as aluminum and more prone to cracks and corrosion over the years.
