The Last Detail came out just before I enlisted in the Navy. Truly realistic characters. I was stationed in Norfolk and all the buildings and even the "strip" just outside the gate are recognizable (it was completely leveled in 1975 while I was there). It was a real hit with the men on my boat and we watched it multiple times. Two of my favorite lines by Jack: "I ask you, where can you get a sandwich like this? And for fifty cents!". And "I lost my fucking shoe!"

Great movie..very real..like midnight cowboy..70s were the best..
