For those facing issues an easy fix is putting !pip install tensorboardX == 2.14.0 right below the imports and replacing the gradio install with !pip install gradio==3.40.1 updates in the new releases have broken the code but rolling back to the version used when this video was released fixes things

Liked the demo. However it's not working when I attempted. I even managed to get past the gradio version dependencies issue initially based some users comment here ( thank you ). But the Train model is unable to find the folder where the voice is getting uploaded. I've even tried to mimic the path under the './dataset' folder it expects. The logs seem to refer to this folder as lot. Haven't been successful to get the voice model trained. If others have found a path to make this work, please let me know. Taking a break from this for now....wish it worked like how it did for Bryan from @Website Learners.

As one guy from the comments suggested, before running the code: "Replace: !pip install gradio --upgrade with !pip uninstall gradio !pip install gradio==3.50.2" It worked for me

This video needs to be made more user friendly as it presumes viewers are all software designers? That's not the case & if your tutorial is true than update it with more easier to follow instructions ie to bake a cakes you have to follow instructions not just say put your ingredients in a bowel & expect you to then take it out of the oven all ready to eat!...so please explain the steps in more easy to follow stages. Put yourself in the viewers shoes...most are novice not orogrammers etc...

This technology is scary as I can see non-singers (say who is a songwriter but not a singer) can populate music services with AI music. And AI I am sure can also compose original songs. So one just need to know how to run these apps and can surface as musicians. Some of the bad effects are already there in the photography space. AI generated fake photos are getting million likes and people are being fooled. Folks this is not a criticism of this video. This video is GREAT! We need to know what is possible. We just need to be mindful to not abuse it. Thanks.

I love to sing but my brain and the real worl hear different things. I wish there was ab app that could train on the notes that come out of my mouth compared to what they are supposed to be and then play the song back to me to sing along with the new notes on the vocals so when i sing and match my voice to the si=ngers, my voice will actually be oin key. Does that makes sense? I can sing. I can hit all th otes... but when I think I am singing perfecly to a song I definitely am not. If my off singing is consistent though, then this app could learn the notes I sing as an A sharp(but is actually a f sflat or whatever... but with enough training it coud recognize the note that makes me sing an A sharp and adjust the tracks vocals to that note so when I sing along it will actually be right. I don't want to have AI do it for me.

@@ThumbBandit04 - I think I am getting what you are saying. Is this a neurological condition? Did you see a doctor or something for this? Before thinking AI, I think what you want is pretty easy to do. You can easily do these experiments. You pick a simple song and make sure you have its notation. If you have the staff notation of it load it in a music software such as free museScore or something like it. Then play the song. Say the first line. Then sing it and record your voice. Now using another software that can tell you what the pitches are of that recording you can then compare the notes of the original song and what you sang. I can help you doing one round of this exercise. You don't have to pay me anything for my time. I can even give you the notation of a song then you can sing and send me the recording of yours. Interested?

You can't upload instrumentals you don't have rights to on streaming services. Even if you're the one singing, you need to purchase the rights to the backing music track, and that's impossible if it's a well known song by a major record label.

@@JSmithRecords It's not for public or commercial use. I just like to sing and figure if I cold find or use an app that would take an existing song and autotune it on the fly to adjust the frequency output of the vocal track to what it has been trained hear the same way I hear then I can see it to adjust my muscle memory so I can maybe reset my audio processing center in my skull jello. So many ifs and is it doables before even thinking uploading.

@@nf0rce @derhitpula This will work. Thanks to @smagic3897 for the solution! (set gradio version to 3.50.2 in newer version source arg was removed) Click on "Show code" and search for gradio, then remove "!pip install gradio --upgrade" and add these two lines instead. !pip uninstall -y gradio !pip install gradio==3.50.2 However, I now have a problem with a connection timeout due to inactivity while training.

The key application would be, if in a real time live setting, the converted voice would be available. Imagine singing into a microphone and out comes your voice sounding like David Lee Roth, Streisand, Ian Gillan, Celine Dion etc....the converted voice has to be available in real time just as a guitar synthezizer provides artificial sounds like Pat Metheny's sound for example or like many guitar effects change the sound into distortion, chorus, ambient etc...
