You say Cottage Cheese & it looks like CREAM CHEESE to me. Cottage cheese comes in a container & Curdled Milk.

I came here to say the same. I think he's confused cream cheese or nuefchatel cheese that comes in a soft bar with cottage cheese that comes in a tub that has liquid and curds.

You guys have to realize products in USA aren't the same in other countries for example refried beans in a can isn't something everyone has seen and they wouldn't know what that is if they saw it

I was wondering the same thing. It looks suspiciously like cream cheese, but then I wondered if maybe it was Ricotta? That could come in a block and be called cottage cheese. This is a cheese dilemma.

i use to steam shrimp sort of the same way. in a pot with a lid. i would take an aluminum pie pan punch holes in it turn it over. fill the bottom of the pot with water ,put the pie pan in. water level in the pot has to be below the upside down pie pan. put the shrimp on top of the pie pan.

A lot of Americans here forgetting that we call things differently than the rest of the world. He is, in fact, using cottage cheese as it is known in other parts of the world. I shop at an Indian market around the corner from my apartment and make a dish called palak paneer for my girlfriend. Paneer is a type of cheese that they also call “cottage cheese” also called “farmers cheese”. It is firm and sold in blocks like in this video. Definitely not cream cheese like other folks are claiming.

I always liked the mixture of ground beef, ricotta (cottage cheese) and chopped spinach that goes in to manocotti, so beef and cottage cheese together do not seem weird at all. It's a good combo. Having become allergic to wheat, I liked that mixture so much I wanted a gluten free version. Now I just eat the beef, cottage cheese or ricotta, and chopped spinach on a bed of fresh polenta. Sometimes I use un-cured bulk pork sausage instead of beef.
