American radio was not kind to the BeeGees after Saturday Night Fever.

@@jamesgriffiths7120 - This song was not on the US radio because it was released as a single by Robin Gibb as a solo artist in the UK, Germany and New Zealand only. Also, the disco craze lasted less than a decade. The Bee Gees came back big again starting in the late 1980's with album "One" followed by "Still Waters" which had "Alone" on the top 10 on the Billboard. In the late 1990's, their Las Vegas' One Night Only concert was a tremendous success. Their A&E's Live by Request concert was one of the network's most viewed programs. Before the decade ended, "Saturday Night Fever" was incorporated into a stage production on Broadway and received positive responses. The Bee Gees closed the early 2000's before Maurice's unexpected death with album "This Is Where I Came In" which was also a success in the US. So, no, we were not unkind to the Bee Gees. We loved them and still do, especially us Floridians! 💗

The BeeGees have given interviews where they have said out of their own mouths that American radio was not kind to them after Saturday Night Fever. So, thank you for miss reading what I said and meant and turning it into your own narrative. I love the Bee Gees just like everyone else . There are plenty of Bee Gees interviews here on Utube. If you put on your listening ears, you might hear what my original post was about.

Yes it did. But those days, what else was he suppose to do, after he desecrated Andy's song behind Barry & Mo's back. Barry referred to it as "a sacred object" & Mo said it was so difficult for Barry to sing publicly, that it had to "rest with Andy". Robin changed the lyrics & altered the song, removing parts added for Andy, like the sound of carousels at the beginning, because Andy loved carousels. Then he had the gull to put it on his '03 Magnet album, along with just 1 other Gibb written song, when there's hundreds he could have chosen. Who commits such an act of betrayal against his own brothers? Robin Gibb does, & thankfully Barry finally saw him for who he was, a fair-weather friend.

In my mind there is no doubt that Robin Gibb's talent should go down in history for the body of work and the unique voice that made us love him so. I do read comments and was glad to learn that he was there before Mo passed. The bond of twins cannot be broken. What a loss to lose both of them much too early. His appearance singing "Please" was heartbreaking. Grief takes a heavy toll. God Bless both of them. They will not be forgotten.

Robin's voice was so unique that I just never got tired of it. In the BeeGees his vocal had that sound that was intimately woven and expertly placed within their harmonies. It kept every song fresh and was that critical part of the BeeGees.

Robin had an exceptional beautiful voice and I appreciate it. But Barry has many voices. Each one so different..so unique. His beautiful falsetto is so angelic..mesmerizing and in the same song he can go to his chest voice then back to falsetto..like Be Who You Are and Letting Go. Some songs he sings with that unmistakable strong voice that just blows you away..like Nights On Broadway and Wind Of Change. It took all three of their amazing voices singing harmony to make the Bee Gees who they were with their incredible songs, but NO ONE ever has or ever will have a voice like Barry's. He sings with so much feeling you feel every note..every word down into your heart and soul. No one has ever touched my heart like he does..and never will. His voice takes me to a magical place..where sometimes he makes me cry then I feel safe and happy and know that everything is going to be ok. His angel voice wraps around my heart like a warm blanket and I feel peace and love.❤️ BEE GEES FOREVER💙💙💙🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸

Actually this song was not written by Robin or his brothers, although it definitely sounds like it should have been. Robin obviously could not only write a great song but recognise one. The album was rushed released unfortunately and could have been better, but I guess it was understandable. Robins last album was absolutely brilliant, the title being an address St Catherines Drive, which is one of the brothers addresses they lived in on the Isle of Man, their birthplace and early childhood.

Sadly, Barry would find out 2 weeks after Mo died, when Andy's desecrated song was on it. That was the final straw for Barry & why he estranged himself from Robin, his fair-weather friend. The only brother who betrayed his own brothers.

Robin actually said "I know I'm ugly but I have a characterful face". I never thought him ugly but when he was the young the press often made fun of his looks compared to Barry. One even called him a gopher. I am sure his comment here was both a slap to those nasty people as well as the state of music that depends so much on looks (and always did!).
