Thanks for the video Angie! I wish I would have caught it when it was launched because that was a great price. This looks like one of the easiest lasers to use. I'm not sure I would engrave tumblers, but I make a lot of wood projects, so the thing I'd like to see is engraving on a wooden tray or sign, so adding the word Gather or Thanks or even one of the Santa snack plates.

I like the Vista way better than the Vision first of all. Between the M1 Ultra and the Vista, it is going to depend on what you want to do. Do you want the print/cutting functions like a Cricut in a laser? The M1Ultra is the one for you. Do you want to be able to do tumblers without a riser base? The Vista might be better.

The 2W infrared head is really only needed for engraving on metal. I use the other with tumblers on my rotary tool. I have used several varieties of acrylic! Houston Acrylic is one good supplier.

The basic package is fine to start. I would only add things if you need them. For instance, if you really want to do tumblers, then get the package with the rotary.

Is it clear or see through? This is a diode laser and will not work with clear.

Looks like you only do a deposit now. The bundle would totally depend on what you want to do. Add the rotary if you want to do tumblers. Add a 2W infrared head if you want to engrave metal.

Nope. The regular one will do tumbler and acrylic. The IR one is for metals that have no coating.

The hose comes with it and you can put it out of a window. The Vista will work as a unit with the initial purchase. Add ons are optional.

Max thickness is about 1/4 inch for cutting. Engraving is 2 inches or more with risers! You can use a huge wide variety of materials in this machine.

I like the Vista better. I am not a fan of the large height on the Vision. With a 10W you can still do wood and engrave tumblers. Although you may need to add the riser feet to the Vista to get the stanley cups in there.

I have the 20w Vision using the MakeIt software (version 2.0.4) on a Mac. I purchased the 10w Vista and I am waiting delivery. Will the software recognize and handle the two different machines without a problem? If so, will I have to change any settings? Thanks!

You could use something like this for glass but would need to use a marking spray or pen. I actually do not have a video on it yet! And you would need to get the package with a rotary tool to do cups.

2W can engrave uncoated tumblers. For coated tumblers, only 10W or higher power can be used.

A coated tumbler is one I used in this video so it has paint over the metal. You can use the 10W laser head that comes with the original package to make these as I have shown. If you wanted to engrave directly into metal - like a tumbler that does NOT have paint on it, you would want the 2W infrared head.
