2:37 Nice see one of the smaller Hornsby engines! My dad worked at their factory in Lincoln and the open days at the research centre usually had one of the big ones running... they wouldn't allow visitors without ear defenders these days, we were advised to stick our fingers in our ears 🤣

Thanks John for the RR Merlin engine clip, the sound of that V12 is like no other. The Ruston is very nice but completely different. As for lathe tool center height , Stefan Gotteswinter did a video on that recently and it's well worth watching. Keep up the good work! Robert

Thanks John, the Merlin will always be my favourite sounding engine. The tip with the ruler will come in handy as my wife has bought me a QCTP for my South Bend lathe as an anniversary present, (although I'm not supposed to know that yet).

John I've got a slight problem on my Warco 250v lathe, its cutting a slight taper when not using the tail stock, its not terrible but its not perfect, any advice on how to remedy would be much appreciated.

It depends how the headstock is attached to the bed
