Weddin Mountains in the Central West of NSW about 290 kms west of Sydney. It has a highest point of 750 mts dominating the landscape above the flat plains. Weddin Mountains run roughly north south with steep cliffs on the eastern side. It was the hiding placefor the bushranger Ben Hall and his gang, nearby Grenfell was the birthplace of the poet Henry Lawson. The sandstone cliffs have been carved out by numerous creeks creating some spectacular rock formations with some unique flora and fauna.This was a 3 day hike by the Canberra Bushwalking Club led by Keith T
