Wow! I Won!!! Thanks guys!! (and random computer thingy 🙃). Not only that but it's a postcard inspired by my home state as well! I love watching your travels across my home plus you two are one of the happiest couples I have ever seen, if ever there was two people made for each other it's you, you really warm my heart❤. The Grampians are stunning and such a contrast to the Bight, Southern Victoria has a reputation for 4 seasons in one day. The Blue Berry seems to be travelling well for you too. I very much look forward to each new part of your wanderings. I went to your Web site and will drop a contact there, thanks again!

You are doing a really great job of getting an overview of Australia, you could spend a year in each state and not see everything, and you guys have a time limit, so I'm really impressed at how much you are getting to see👍also happy you seem to enjoy it so much. Even driving those country roads is an experience in itself, you got some great footage of that 👍

The Grampians are fantastic. In the early 1980s, with two other teachers, we took a group of high school students from the far west of South Australia to The Grampians and the goldfields of Ballarat and Bendigo via Adelaide. They had an absolute ball, as they had never been to a city and had never seen hills as high as The Grampians. PS The best iced coffee in Australia is Farmer's Union from South Australia.

Farmer's Union is an absolute icon, but it's not actually that good. I say that as somebody that has drunk hundreds of litres of it in my lifetime. It's so sweet, with very little coffee flavour. I could go for one now though

Yes the Americans always say emoo. Being an aboriginal word probably maybe 60000 years old, pronounced eeemyou, I think maybe us Aussie have it correct. How do Americans say the letter u in the alphabet? Keep up the good work though guys, it's a pleasure watching you enjoying our amazing country.

Hi Cheveyo & Tia, you both obviously love nature and it looks like Australia has been the perfect destination! Australia has a rugged beauty that's unique and so different to anywhere else. I remember whenever I have returned from OS, the smell of eucalypt trees hits me and I know I'm home. It's a comforting thing. There's so many places in Victoria that I could recommend including Wilsons Promontory that are spectacular. You probably won't have time to see as much as you'd like to but credit to you both for showing the world how beautiful Australia is. If you have arrived in Melbourne, a hawkers night market has started at the Queen Victoria Market on Wednesday evenings. Might be worth going to that. As I have mentioned before, a short day trip out of Melbourne that's worth doing is a drive along 'The Black Spur'. Enjoy your time when you are in Melbourne. Thanks for reminding me how lucky we are to live here. Cheers, Stef

Rob, that water trickling and the wind sound, I think is the deeper water underground rumbling. Really cool just the same! Aussies are very safety conscious so most of the best hikes are fenced and stepped. In the past, we’ve had people lost and injured in the bush, and as you would now be aware, rescuing them is a massive prospect.

The Grampians are well-known for ROCK CLIMBIING. There are some good videos of this on You Tube. An emu and a kangaroo are on Australia's coat-of-arms and on our Parliament building etc. because they move forward (and not backwards). "How ya goin' " in Oz lingo means "Hello, how are you?" WAR-nam- bool is an Australian aboriginal name. The majority of town and place names in Australia are in/from aboriginal/first nation languages.

Another great vlog; been hangin out for it! The Grampians are spectacular and well worth the visit. Glad you are seeing more of the country away from the coast. Requires a bit of effort but well worth it. As I am fond of saying, Australia is more than the sum of its beaches. THE most spectacular waterfalls in the country are in the Kimberley region in Australia's north west, during the wet season, after a storm. Dark brooding skies, a volume of water you couldn't imagine was possible in "the dry continent", set against a backdrop of spectacular lightning shows. Not accessible by car and for most of the wet season not even by 4WD; helicopter in and out . If someone else asks "how ya goin", surprise them with "just great mate, wouldn't be dead for quids" [I'm very well thank you; just great to be alive and there's no amount of money that would change that]😂

Do you like the Australian Bush? One of the things ex-pat Aussies get nostalgic for is the smell of the gum trees and the native flora in the bush. You might have seen some of our escapees in California. Yes dogs are also invasive. The dingo has an odd status as a longtime immigrant, but all non-marsupial vertebrate mammals are invasive to some extent.

Our family used to go to nearby Stawell each Easter for years (our great aunts used to live there). It's good to see the Pinnacles trail hasn't changed that much. There's a bit more health and safety; you're showing more fences than I remember as a kid. I think dogs might be banned because they're not always on the leash, and either frighten off the wildlife or they run off and tourists get into trouble trying to get them back. Loving this series.

A few years ago, there was a ferocious fire that swept through this area burning much of the vegetation and exposing the geology, which was very interesting if you like uplifted sandstone geology. The sandstone geology in the area is a rarity in Victoria, because Victoria is a region created mostly by volcanism. That is why the Grampians are attractive, particularly to botanists, as plants grow there which are not found elsewhere, except in places like the Blue Mountain near Sydney where you have been l think.
