Hey Ben, new subscriber loving your content. I'm attempting to reboot my DJ business, I've been taking notes 🤔. What I'm thinking with your first canceled client was that there might've been a big chance that they required the funds for the treatment. It's amazing how many times insurance companies refuse to pay for lifesaving cancer treatments altogether or slam the patient with a huge out of pocket expense before they'll even cover anything. As a cancer survivor myself I've been there on the insurance front before and that would totally make sense. as for your second canceled client, not sure what happened there, curious if you have any updates there. But the best thing to do when a cancellation occurs is keep on going. Much love from Wisconsin, keep up the good work 👍 👍.

I've had cancellations before and I try to find out why. Did I not appear professional enough, was there a lower price offered, is a friend suddenly doing it? The main thing is I never take it personally but always try and improve. Regarding deposits or retainers I don't ask for much and its sated in my contracts that this is non refundable as a way of holding their date. I have made partial refunds when I have not done a lot of work or if the date is far out in advance.
