Shoddy bridal boutique! My Mom worked for a bridal boutique for 15 years. At no time did the boutique have any dress in that condition! All samples were in perfect condition. If any dress was damaged it was considered a write off and tossed in the garbage!

@@Syndryn666 I'm not sure about the UK, but in the US sample gowns are often sold for a variety of reasons. Sample gowns are often sold for a discount because they have been tried on before, and therefore many brides seek them out for affordability. Another reason is the time crunch, where there isn't a lot of time to find a dress that is custom ordered and shipped, the bride often needs to purchase a sample dress right from the store.

I do a lot of sowing and wouldn't mind fixing up a dress myself to knock the price down, but they better have it properly marked as a dress that needs fixing. Just pretending like there's nothing wrong is shady.

Samples are tried on by many brides at bridal shops. Once the sample is sold , it's sold as is.

Normally, it would be the bride to go buy her dress, and for a discount price some people are fine with buying sample items, if there are issues that could be fixed, I wouldn’t have problems with that either, this is not a normal situation and it is a TV show :)

Joel is a bit of a problem. Didn't even try to make sure the dress was going to be the right size (there are ways, like Becky) that dress was too big everywhere. And do not give me that "I don't want to look like a proper bell end when she is taller than me." Something tells me that is the standard state of affairs, if you look in her wardrobe it will be full of heels. Check your ego, you should want your bride at her most beautiful. I actually like the first groom, I've seen that one. I appreciate the having a second option and that is honestly one of the most bizarre themes too. But yeah bridal shop should never have sold that dress, men don't look women do.

If I remember correctly, they only have a certain number of weeks to get everything together, and the bride isn't allowed to know anything that's planned, she can't pick out her dress or anything!

The designers have to have at least six months for a wedding dress and he had only six weeks to do everything. She's acting like a spoiled brat. The most important thing or at least it should be is marrying the man you love. I can almost guarantee 90 % of those will not stay married long bc the girls are to spoiled

Having a dress with holes in it is completely unacceptable and both the groom and shop are at fault. No bride should be forced to get married in that. And it's real shame because the dress is quite nice otherwise

Many of them do crazy things with the money and don't see the importance of the dress. Personally, I could never have done this.

The girl with the long hair and the simple dress, why don’t they put that thing up her to fit her perfectly? They have clips they can put in the back to give her an idea what the thing looks like. But what is wrong with these bridal shops?? how can she even wear it anywhere when it’s falling off of her but more importantly again, what is wrong with the bridal shop not clipping her in it so she can see and get her ridiculous hair out of the way. How can you see a dress with your hair hanging in your face and over the top of the dress. Get the hair out of there.

Ok I'm only 7min in but the lady that had the 2nd option why would they not include the 2nd dress in the segment? I hope because I'm not to far into the episode they put that segment in this episode or I'm gonna be really upset. I do have to say I did love the 1st dress but why would he choose a dress that had holes in it, it's not like there was or maybe even 2 there were alot of holes. Also why in the hell would that "shop" even try to sell a damaged dress? They even said she knew there was no time for any alterations so why in the world would she even think its acceptable to even try to sell that unless the lady really doesnt care about the brides an was for nothing but money. We have to remember this is a tv show. They pick people with strong personalities and an entouurage of big characters They hope for conflict and bad decisions. Part of the formula groomsmen who are selfish and spend too much on stags and entrances. As for dresses well rememberr the alternative is no wedding dress. It is amazing how these people and their families have no money but lots of opinions. They cannot or should not expect muchh for their weddings if they don't have really a dime for the wedding. It is ridiculous - trying to have a wedding and can't scrap a couple of hundred for rings or alteration or family membrs who can't help. Fine theyy scale down. Where is the gratitude? Besides 50 percent will be in divorce sadly

The first dress wasn't so bad, but they should have never had it on the floor for sale. I love the invitation. That was slick. It was a good job. I figured maybe he was thinking about her feet by the end of the night? The third one was stunning. It goes well with her hairstyle, too. The 4th one. He should have known her better. It was pretty, but he should have known her better. Beverly Hills is overrated, but the dress was beautiful.

It's a show. The husband has a Budget and plans the whole wedding - dress, location, decoration etc. Some husbands are good and pick nice things, others make their brides wear embarrassing stripper dresses and marry in weird locations or weird themes.

So, why couldn't they just take that layer with the tears in it out, or fill in the holes with lace and shiny bits? The bridal shop, though... the worker kept saying, "He did know it was a sample dress," when they asked if he knew there were holes in it. That was, as the kids today say, quite sus (do they still say that). Then again, if you don't want to be surprised and pick out your own dress, don't agree to be on the show. I know it's not a popular opinion, but if I were her fiancee, I wouldn't be marrying her. It's a dress that is beautiful, able to be fixed in one way or another. I would have worn it in a heartbeat. She liked it without the belt, it was probably in his price range and it fit her beautifully. She's not two, she's supposed to be an adult about it.

Tried to give a chance over and over again for 35 yrs. Never changed. He was top dog, head of the line and I wasn't even valued enough for scraps, even though most of the time I was the paycheck and shouldered most of ant responsibilities. Our children even begged me to get out. This guy is a looser.
