Little question, with your stable setup gear when you change lens is that easy to continue shooting, or you need to balance it for each lens ?
2 жыл бұрын
Justin, with so many of those Deity spread around, how you manage your levels? I’m coming from photography to video and got those DJI Mic for now, plus a shotgun mic on top of camera, but in the future I will look for options with timecode sync. Tentacle Track E are tempting since they are 32 bit float, and apparently they just don’t distort even with the loudest sounds.
@JustinPorterMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hey that’s true. So the tentacles offer 32 bit float which is insane for audio recording. I do have to manually set the levels with the deity which do require more finessing upfront. They also feature an analog limiter that prevents clipping in most cases. The deity’s also offer a few other features that are more appealing for what I do and come in cheaper.

I was planning to buy a Flycam with the arm and everything, but I see way too many people just using this sort of rig you used in this video. Thanks for everything! I love your channel
@JustinPorterMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hey! So I used the flycam for more corporate stuff but no longer using it. The easyrig (used in this video) is a much faster setup that supports handheld filmmaking. The zest is honestly a 2 person setup where you can’t really pull focus and get your shots as a 1 man band.

@JustinPorterMedia2 жыл бұрын
This is a great question honestly. The biggest thing is communication. I understand what they need how they typically take photos. Then I always adapt. A big thing is filming on the thirds. Filmmaking is rarely filmed with the subjects in the center and it's the exact opposite for photos. Knowing that the photographer will always be in the middle, you can always end up with beautiful framing on the thirds lol. I can talk alot about this and may actually make a video.
